April 2, 1980. Wednesday.
10 in the morning.
James woke up at 6 in the morning and started some morning runs in the garden, as usual, and then ate his breakfast, went to practice his drumming and guitar skills by 8 in the morning. He finished by 9:30 in the morning and went to shower.
By 9:58 in the morning, he was all freshened up and wore his shirt and shorts.
A car stopped at the entrance of their gate and the car was allowed to enter after the person in the car, Joseph Kennedy Sr., introduced himself to the person at the gate.
After the car entered, Joseph Kennedy Sr. and a man in a suit, which should be the lawyer, stepped outside the car and started walking to their main door.
The two men were welcomed by a maid and asked to follow her to the living room where James' mother and father stood. Upon approaching each other, Joseph Kennedy Sr. and his lawyer properly introduced themselves to James' parents, to which they also reciprocated and introduced themselves as well to their visitors.
James walked out of his room and then sat on an empty seat after the 4 in front of him were seated. He did not need to introduce himself because they all knew him already.
After a few moments, he then initiated the meeting and Joseph Kennedy Sr talked alot about the plans for the future of the company that he will be handling for their son.
After an hour of talking, James' father nodded and seemed a lot more relaxed as he listened to Joseph Kennedy Sr.'s proposals, plans and strategies in making the company profitable despite the new path his boss, their son, was taking.
Joseph finished discussing and looked at James' father's eyes without batting an eye. He showed his conviction to help their son reach the highest level of success in this industry.
This made James' father trust his son's scouting skill and decision making. It was actually very rare for him to encounter such a man with conviction, preparedness and very specific plans for a business, the people he had encountered with such aura were very few in Wall Street. And most of them are ruthless businessmen that only look for success and never for failure.
"Hmmmm…" James' father closed his eyes and hummed.
As for his mother, she just looked at her husband waiting for his decision. This was a big undertaking for their son and their decision will play a big part.
Personally, she thinks that Joseph Kennedy Sr's proposal aligns with her son's plans, but more detailed and business oriented than what her son's proposal.
This made her believe in this young man and if her husband does not accept it, she would.

After 15 minutes of thinking, James' father opened his eyes and then placed his right hand forward asking for a handshake from Joseph Kennedy Sr.
"I have decided, I will invest." He said.
"Good decision, Sir." Joseph Kennedy Sr. took the handshake and looked at James with a smile.
"With this agreement, you will now be my boss, Sir James." He teased James.
James' father also looked at his son after the handshake and said, "You better produce a good result with my investment, this is a big deal for all of us. Do not disappoint me."
James stood and asked for a handshake from both men in front of him. After the handshake, he confidently said, "Dad, you will not regret investing in my company. You will see soon enough."

After James, his father, his mother and Joseph Kennedy Sr. signed the contract of employment with the lawyer signing as the witness, they separated ways as Joseph Kennedy needed to file the registration of the music record label named "Sub Pop Inc.".
Three days went by and Joseph Kennedy gave updates to the company filing and told James and his parents that it would take a few weeks to finish.
Apart from that, he also updated them about the new bank account number of the company. Therefore, when James and his parents received the details, his father quickly transferred the promised investment of $500,000.00.
Without batting an eyelid, he transferred them completely. James really appreciated his father's straightforwardness and trust to him, he kept this as a motivation to success and make his father and mother proud, as well as richer. (LMAO)

James then instructed Joseph Kennedy Sr to scout Seattle, Washington state and find a drummer named Christopher John Cornell, he must be either in a cover band named Face to Face or The Shemps this year, or would be in a garage or something.
Joseph Kennedy Sr. followed the order from him and went to Seattle to scout this person, he even hired an investigator to locate Christopher John Cornell.
'It should take a week or so before he would find Chris Cornell around Seattle. This time, I should write more songs and practice all the songs.'
'My plan is to make Chris sign to my label then hire session musicians to be his rehearsal partners and tour members. I already told Joseph Kennedy Sr that my allocated budget for Chris Cornell's album production and promotion would be $300,000.00, since he agreed and thinks it will work, I got to trust him, no, I got to trust the system and his rating of 5 stars.'
