Chapter 350 - Intelligence

It is definitely slightly inferior to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Blaine still vaguely remembered the uniqueness of this intelligence structure. Wakanda had once obtained information through its spy network and even seemed to have formulated a defense plan capable of dealing with the Devourer of Worlds.

From this alone, one could see how terrifying this intelligence agency truly was. Even information about the Planet Devourer could be acquired. Perhaps even now, S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't necessarily know of the Planet Devourer's existence.

Thinking of this, Blaine felt somewhat relieved. After all, Wakanda had the means to deal with the Devourer of Worlds, so his being cautious here didn't seem so embarrassing.

Looking at T'Challa, his expression was clearly much calmer now, though he was still wary of Blaine.

But with Blaine having already said as much as he had, T'Challa couldn't very well refuse him. He could only signal his subordinates to step aside and allow Blaine entry. Blaine, for his part, remained polite and followed along without resistance.

Once T'Challa felt at ease, the troops gradually dispersed in all directions instead of following behind him and Blaine. At this point, the only ones escorting Blaine were T'Challa's female guards.

It was clear that these armies only obeyed the King of Wakanda's orders—T'Challa's—when jointly resisting foreign invaders. Under normal circumstances, they would return to their own territories, back to their respective homes.

Each tribe had its own leader, and the people naturally followed their tribal chief's arrangements. There were even situations where T'Challa's orders might not fully carry weight among them.

Moreover, Blaine carefully noticed that the ornaments and totems worn by members of each tribe were different. This showed that not everyone in Wakanda worshipped the Black Panther.

For example, the leader of the first phalanx Blaine saw wore the skeleton of an ape. Others bore ornaments made from antelope horns, lion manes, and hyena teeth, among various symbols.

In fact, based on his knowledge of the Marvel storyline, Blaine generally understood the situation.

For instance, the ape tribe—their leader was the first to oppose T'Challa's ascension as King of Wakanda. Blaine couldn't quite remember his name; it seemed to be M'Baku. This tribe was a mountain tribe, worshipping the White Ape Gos as their totem and living in seclusion year-round. Unlike the other four tribes, the ape tribe adhered strictly to tradition and refused to use Vibranium or modern technology.

However, although their leader was initially fiercely opposed to T'Challa, he later helped him reclaim the throne. He was, in truth, deeply loyal to Wakanda.

As for tribes like the lion tribe—also known as the Border Tribe—they were mainly responsible for disguising themselves as farmers, Hunters, and other ordinary professions.

They lived along Wakanda's borders, using ancient farming methods with cattle and plows to deceive outsiders who wandered in by accident. (Ordinary people might stumble in by chance, but someone like Blaine couldn't just force his way in—it truly showed how incompatible he was with Wakanda.) This façade concealed the truth of Wakanda's wealth, power, the Vibranium mountains, and everything else.

The Border Tribe also possessed warriors equipped with Vibranium cloaks capable of protection and invisibility—the same kind of shield Blaine had seen earlier. Though they maintained the appearance of ancient agriculture, they didn't use ordinary livestock like cattle or horses. Instead, they raised war rhinos, and when necessary—close the gates and unleash the rhinos!

Thinking of the Border Tribe, Blaine recalled that during the Battle of Ultron, the person who provided Vibranium for Vision's body was that extremely talkative and irritating Klaue. That was where it all began.

Not only Klaue, but also T'Challa's cousin—Killmonger—had made his first contact with the outside world through this place. And it was here that the tribe's leader succumbed to temptation and was incited against T'Challa…

Recalling the conflicts and wars among Wakanda's tribes, Blaine felt a twinge of regret—regret that he hadn't been able to witness them firsthand. Watching the most technologically advanced nation in the world fight with the coldest weapons imaginable was something he would have liked to see.

As for the rest, Blaine had no interest in learning about Wakanda's so-called supermodel squad—the female guards, a group of bald women. As for the other tribes, he wasn't particularly clear on them either. As long as they had nothing to do with what he planned to do next, there was no need for him to understand them in detail.

Thinking all this through, Blaine was simply recalling Wakanda's situation in advance, preparing himself for what he would need to do later to obtain Vibranium.

The group didn't walk for long. After passing through the final stretch of jungle, Blaine finally saw Wakanda's true appearance. He immediately activated Hawkeye. He needed to take a proper look at this place.

Under Hawkeye's vision, towering buildings rose one after another. The structures here were completely incomparable to the few dozen floors seen outside. Spaceships, stealth technology, lasers—

This place seemed to fulfill every one of Blaine's fantasies about Earth's future. No, it was even more advanced than humanity's imagined future. This was simply what the future world should look like.

It was often said that Wakanda's technology was hundreds of years ahead of the rest of the world. Now it seemed that even five hundred years might be an understatement. Blaine hadn't believed it before, but now he did—at least based on what he was seeing.

Not a single thing here was visible from the outside. No wonder T'Challa had kept it so tightly hidden.

Staring at these high-tech, seamlessly integrated buildings, Blaine couldn't help but feel dazzled. Suddenly, he thought of someone.

He still remembered that in the Marvel storyline, T'Challa had once wanted to reveal Wakanda's scientific achievements to the outside world and share its technology and resources globally.

Then there was the president of a certain country—someone who not only left T'Challa speechless, but also stunned Blaine. That man had actually said something like: 'Wakanda is in such a poor part of Africa—what technology could it possibly share with the world? Farming? Agriculture? Cattle and sheep raising?' It was beyond ridiculous.

While observing Wakanda through Hawkeye, Blaine's mental power was unconsciously released. Combined with Hawkeye's vision, he began searching for the mountain where Vibranium was stored.

After all, he planned to use it to upgrade his weapons, not trade it to the system for rice knives. Whether he took it, grabbed it outright, or used any other means didn't matter to him. In short, as long as he got it, he didn't care whether T'Challa agreed or not.

However, as Blaine's spiritual power probed deeper and deeper, he felt a mysterious force calling out to him—while at the same time, something seemed to be blocking his sight, preventing him from seeing it clearly.
