"Didn't you just think about breaking in a moment ago?"
Facing the confrontation with the Asgardian warriors, Blaine shrugged indifferently.
"What? Just going to forget about that?"
The combat strength of these four wasn't particularly impressive.
In other words, Asgard—the so-called mighty Asgard—wasn't all that remarkable.
Despite the grand portrayal, the Warriors Three of Asgard and Lady Sif weren't much stronger than average humans. Their physical stats were at most three times that of normal people, and even with armor, the gap wasn't significant.
Aside from Odin, Asgard's strength was practically propped up by Thor and Loki alone. In Blaine's opinion, the rest weren't particularly noteworthy.
That included the four warriors standing before him.
These guys were lumped into the "Warriors Three," which just highlighted how underwhelming Asgard seemed in the movie version.
Besides, Thor—especially in Thor 1—wasn't exactly impressive either. Unless he had Stormbreaker, he wasn't someone Blaine felt the need to take seriously. But at this point in the timeline, Thor's strength hadn't changed much, right?
And now with Gali standing beside him, what kind of "mighty Thor" was this guy supposed to be?
---
"Wait...!"
Suddenly reminded by Blaine, the Asgardians realized they were already inside the very house they had been planning to break into moments earlier.
Stranger still, when they looked at Blaine directly, they could remember his face—but if they even slightly looked away, the memory of his appearance became blurry and indistinct.
They hadn't yet noticed this odd effect.
"How did you do that? How did you bring us here?"
They assumed Blaine was behind the bizarre situation.
As for Gali, standing quietly to the side, they completely ignored her. She looked like an innocent little girl—harmless to both humans and animals. There was no trace of the overwhelming presence of someone who could devour planets in one bite.
Otherwise, why would Blaine have casually invited her to eat fast food earlier?
"How did I do it?" Blaine sighed helplessly. "If only I could."
The implication: it wasn't him. He couldn't have done it.
A time-stopping ability that covered the whole Earth? That would be god-level. If he could really do that, he'd be thrilled.
Envy. Jealousy. My inner lemon is really sour right now.
Although, when it came to the whole "face" thing—yeah, that was him. He had mind control. While he couldn't fully dominate minds, it was well within his abilities to blur their perception and memory of his face. That's why he didn't bother wearing his Hunter suit—it just didn't matter.
Gali, meanwhile, casually shrugged. After fifteen minutes had passed, she pulled out a miniature planet from her watch, bit into it, and watched the unfolding drama with interest.
"Tui!"
At that moment, Thor—dazed from hitting his head—finally stood up and spat out a mouthful of blood. When he hit the ground earlier, his teeth had torn the inside of his mouth, and now it was filled with blood.
Shaking his head, Thor forced himself to focus.
"Hand over Mjolnir!"
Thor glared fiercely at Blaine. He was done tolerating being trapped in a mortal body.
"Mjolnir?" Blaine spread his hands. "I don't have it."
To be fair, he wasn't lying.
He hadn't seen Mjolnir since the day the mission was completed. It definitely wasn't with him.
But he knew where it was.
Still, Thor hadn't asked 'where' Mjolnir was—he'd asked Blaine to 'hand it over'. So Blaine answered accordingly. Stay on point, right?
---
"Fury says it's with to you!" Thor clenched his fists. "From what I've seen, you're not a normal human and you have the strenghth which means you have Mjolnir. Return Mjolnir to me now."
The four Asgardian warriors—Volstagg, Hogun, Fandral, and Sif—stared at Blaine warily.
To them, it was obvious that Blaine was behind what had just happened. So they remained highly alert.
After all, someone who could transport them into a room without their notice clearly possessed terrifying power.
---
"How rude!"
Gali, still watching from the side, grew visibly annoyed at the five "bandits" who had tried to barge in.
Gali pouted, raised her slender white hand, and gently waved it.
In an instant, an overwhelming force enveloped the five of them, lifting them into the air as if they were floating in space…
At the same time, their weapons slipped from their hands and hovered to the side.
"Shit!"
The five floated helplessly, flailing their limbs like balloons tethered in midair. No matter how they struggled, they remained suspended within an invisible boundary.
They were horrified.
What the hell was this little girl?
What was happening?
Where were they?
What were they even doing?
Realizing resistance was futile, the five finally stopped moving. They floated awkwardly, limbs twisted in strange poses, staring wide-eyed at Blaine and Gali.
Most of their attention was on Blaine—confused and disbelieving.
Blaine could only sigh and shake his head in mock regret.
"I told you already—it wasn't me who brought you here."
"Seriously, use a little common sense."
"There are only two people here—me and Gali. And I said it wasn't me. So who do you think it was?"
"Use your brains!"
Blaine stood, glaring at them resentfully. He circled them like a disappointed teacher, paying special attention when he walked past Thor.
"Hmph."
Gali snorted in annoyance but didn't say anything more.
As for the five of them, they looked like they'd just swallowed a mouthful of... well, crap.
Damn it. Anyone with half a brain would assume Blaine was lying, right? Who would suspect the little looking girl next to him?
Blaine glanced at them again, pursing his lips and stroking his chin as his eyes gleamed.
"Well, Mjolnir isn't really with me... but I do know where it is. Since you came all this way, I'll tell you."
He spoke as if generously forgiving their earlier offense. Of course, anyone who actually believed he was that generous was dead wrong.
"Warehouse, Dock 3, East Manhattan. Go get it yourselves."
