Chapter 18 - Brutal training of Clara

She suddenly massaged her temples and sighed, "Anyway, are you crazy? You left early because you wanted to kill an elder? Everyone now thinks you're a crazy guy."

She looked at me and continued, "How did you even defeat that old man? He's stronger than me, and you only have a 2-star mid-layer strength at best," she asked curiously.

"Oh, about that—the Empress helped me. I sold him out since he was planning a rebellion against the Empress," I explained.

She nodded. "You're quite cool. Everyone now thinks my boyfriend is a crazy lunatic," she chuckled a bit.

I just smiled. After she stretched, her body looked quite provocative, so I looked away. Clara, not paying attention to me, said, "Now, shall we train?"

She grabbed a wooden sword this time and threw me a silver sword.

Surprised, I asked, "I thought I was just going to train my skills?" She just smiled and said, "Since you've been skipping too many sessions, we'll have to do this day and night." She suddenly punched me in the face.

Even with my enhanced senses, I was caught off guard and got punched in the face. It sent me flying back. Without hesitation, I grabbed about 22 swords, and with my proficiency and decent control, I surprised her a bit. I tried to use a single sweep attack.

With only a wooden sword, she mostly made the silver swords with sharp edges fly back. Anticipating the swords, she imbued more mana to coat the sword and easily deflected them.

I drew back. Even with my extraordinary strength and the speed of the One Sweep Technique, it wasn't enough.

Seeing it wouldn't work, I fused the technique with my multiple swords, attacking her. The speed of the swords became more than double their normal speed.

She smiled, satisfied. "You're growing," she said. She suddenly imbued her mana intent.

With it, the swords attacking her stopped for a moment, and a shiver ran down my spine.

Composing myself, I tried to attack again, but her mana intent seemed to weaken me. My swords became slower—even slower than their normal speed.

I cursed. That's basically cheating. The gap in our strength is too much, and that's why it weakened me so greatly.

I retreated using the Blink skill. My proficiency is much faster; it didn't even take me a second to suddenly burst in speed.

She smiled, seeing me grow more and more. She also used the Blink skill and gave chase, using the Blink skill and manipulating the sword imbued with mana and the One Sweep technique.

Adding the Extreme Healing Technique, my Qi decreased by more than half, and my mana completely drained.

Noticing I wouldn't be able to keep up, she slowed down a bit. Each hit of her sword was really painful.

While controlling the swords and retreating, I finally saw an opening. I used all my swords to attack other directions to distract her.

When I appeared, I was almost at her neck. Before I could stop, I hit her neck. A brutal pain shot through my face, and I flew back several meters.

My Extreme Healing Techniques could barely keep up with my bruises and injuries.

Coughing up some blood, I asked, "Isn't that personal?"

She smiled playfully. "Well, your growth might be too fast; it caught me off guard." Still, there was a hint of pleasure on her face from having beaten me up.

Hours passed. Night continued as she continued to beat me up. My Qi and mana were already used up, but with my enhanced body because of my cultivation, I could still barely keep up. A few more hours passed; my Qi and mana increased and decreased, repeating several times.

I felt my mana grow and grow, at the brink of a breakthrough to the peak stage.

Before I knew it, my body was battered, and I collapsed on the training grounds and saw the sun rising.

Clara was standing as if nothing had happened. Satisfied, she said, "Your growth is fast; your proficiency in your skills and techniques has gotten better."

Ignoring Clara's words, once I lay down, my body hurt all over, tensing up as if it wanted to explode.

Clara, watching me contort in pain, asked, "Are you using a healing technique, or is it a skill?"

My body hurting all over, I tried to speak, but it was very low.

"Yeah, a technique," I said. She nodded. "Don't use that technique too much; your body might explode at this point," she said, a hint of teasing in her voice.

Nodding, I tried to stand up, but I could barely stand. She helped me.

She grabbed my neck and lifted me. Her soft hands didn't hurt me, even though she was lifting me up; rather, it was more like she was healing me.

She smiled. "How about you just come into my room and let me heal you there?"

I was surprised for a bit but nodded, walking through the hallway. A lot of maids looked at us; I was like a child beaten up by his mother.

While walking, she was about to cross into the right, where her room was.

Her room was much more luxurious than mine, and the scent was just like her—a smell of delicate flowers. She threw me on the floor.

I groaned in pain a bit. "Hey, can't you even treat your student properly and put me on a soft bed?" I said dramatically.

She retorted, "No, you're full of sweat; I wouldn't let you ruin my room."

She cast a skill, purifying my body. Feeling it, my body purified; I felt her scent also go into my body, and my body didn't hurt as much as before.

This continued for half an hour, and finally, she was done. My battered body was now almost fully healed.

She nodded in satisfaction. "You can leave now." Hearing her words, I nodded.

I walked through the hallway again and planned my next move since the sequence would soon arrive.

Sitting in my room, I pondered. Gab should have been able to beat Tristan by now, and the other kingdoms already heard about it.

Sequence 1: They will join an academy—the Eden Academy, the top academy in the world.

Having a lot of resources and abundant skills or even techniques in cultivation, I need to join. I will need to ask the Empress since until Sequence 6, they are in the academy. And most of the heroines are also there. Gab and Fiona's relationship will grow there.

But once the main character joins, a lot of catastrophic disasters will happen.

I sighed, feeling pity for the principal of the school. Well, it's not my problem if the story progresses in the right way; I wouldn't bother them.

Well, that's very unlikely since the MC is smart and also stupid. Having ignored most of the heroines, there are still some who end in a tragic ending.

Especially Alexia, who killed herself after being molested because that stupid MC didn't give a damn about her.

She's a saintess, after all; she should be very pure and not be touched by any men. But when the MC arrives, she's already been molested and killed herself.

It's not that I hate the MC; well, technically I do. Taking a deep breath...

Well, like I said, the first sequence is them joining an academy, and after that, there will be a dungeon breakthrough, and the whole class of the MC will get teleported into a maze where 7-6 star monsters lurk. Thinking about how complex the maze is gave me a headache.
