The singing and dancing training class was dramatically changed by Elsa's arrival. The class was run by a former Hollywood superstar who had moved from Los Angeles to New York. Most of the students here came from wealthy families, wanting to make a name for themselves as stars. Some were as young as four or five, while others were around twenty.
Elsa's arrival was nothing short of an earthquake and tsunami.
The principal personally came to the music classroom and instructed the teacher to stop the lesson.
"Today, I'd like to introduce a new student, who will be learning alongside all of you," the principal said. "This student, I believe all of you know. She is around the same age as you, but she has already starred in a well-known movie. What movie did you all watch last Christmas?"
The teens, who had come to class after school or dropped out, glanced at each other. Finally, a girl shouted, "Frozen! I must have watched it more than ten times. It's just so good!"
Everyone in the class had seen the movie. Even if they didn't like it, the music alone made it worth watching.
"I watched it three or four times," another student said.
Everyone started chatting about the movie, with some saying they had watched it over the entire Christmas break.
The principal smiled in satisfaction. "Actually, I've watched it twice—once with my kids and once with my husband. Can you guess who the new student is today?"
The students' faces lit up with surprise. Could it be the mutant protagonist, Elsa the Snow Queen?
Seeing the students' expressions, the principal knew they had guessed it, so she didn't keep them in suspense. "That's right, it's Elsa! Let's give a warm welcome to our new student."
Elsa walked gracefully into the room, just like a true queen. The principal was filled with satisfaction. It was rare to see such a poised young person these days.
There was a moment of silence, and then the room erupted into excited screams. After all, they were all Elsa's fans. The movie had been so impactful, and Elsa had never participated in promotional events, so this was their first time seeing her in person. They were understandably thrilled.
"Queen!"
This was the first time Elsa had seen such enthusiastic fans. These people were far more excited than her fellow mutants.
"She's really Elsa! She looks just as beautiful as in the movie." Elsa's natural beauty shone through, needing no makeup at all.
The fans were going crazy. The girls crowded around her. "Elsa, please sign for us!" They shoved paper and pens into Elsa's hands, all staring at her with eager eyes. Even the boy students blushed, their excitement betraying their feelings. Fairy tales were for everyone—young and old, no one could resist them.
Elsa had never signed an autograph before, but it didn't matter. As a queen, she couldn't have bad handwriting. With a flourish, she signed her name in large, elegant strokes. Her handwriting was magnificent, ancient and timeless, displaying a deep level of refinement.
The principal waited until the students had calmed down before allowing Elsa to introduce herself. Elsa stood before the class and said, "I'm Elsa, and I'm a mutant." Liu A'dou had instructed her to be as kind as possible and to get along well with the students, answering their questions as best as she could. Although it was a high standard, Liu A'dou had firmly insisted she meet it.
The situation wasn't bad. Young people were always more open to new things, so even though Elsa was a mutant, they didn't feel scared. Moreover, Elsa didn't look any different, so they accepted her easily. The only thing left was whether their parents would accept having a mutant classmate.
In addition to singing and dancing, there were lessons in musical instruments. Elsa had studied with court musicians but had to learn modern music theory to keep up with the market. She blended the ancient and modern styles.
Elsa's talent was undeniable, with a voice and figure that were top-notch. She had also studied ancient music and dance, giving her a solid foundation far superior to the average person's. So, her progress was much faster than usual, which the teacher greatly appreciated.
Overall, there were no feelings of jealousy, and everything was going smoothly. While Elsa attended class, Wolverine was enjoying a drink at a bar. But, coincidentally, Liu A'dou, who was concerned about Elsa, showed up.
"It's you?" Wolverine had no prejudice against Liu A'dou anymore. Fighting side by side had been the best way to erase any barriers. "Come, have a drink with me."
"I only came in because I saw you walk in. Weren't you going to drive? Isn't it okay to drink then?" Liu A'dou took the glass from in front of Wolverine. "Drink, don't drive. Drive, don't drink."
"Tch!" Wolverine remembered that drinking and driving was bad. It wouldn't matter if it was just him, but now he had to take care of a kid. Wolverine was very good at adapting to children's needs.
"Two juices with ice, please."
So, a middle-aged man and a young man ended up drinking juice in a bar. It was quite the sight.
"Lately, I've had an idea, so I wanted to ask you, the living dictionary of war, to help me think it through."
Wolverine looked at Liu A'dou strangely. "You know I have amnesia. Do you know about my past?"
"A little bit. Maybe talking about it will help you remember something," Liu A'dou replied. Wolverine had been a war fanatic after he was born, participating in the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War. In theory, he should have also participated in the Korean War, but that's a different story.
Liu A'dou's next movie was a war film. The two men hit it off more and more as they talked about war. Wolverine, though he couldn't remember much, could react most authentically to examples, proving he was a battle-hardened warrior. He corrected many of Liu A'dou's notions.
"You're not bad. You can admit when you're wrong and correct yourself," Wolverine said, patting Liu A'dou on the shoulder. But on the third pat, his hand suddenly swung through air. The glass that had been in Liu A'dou's hand flipped through the air, spilling juice everywhere, and then shattered on the ground with a loud "crash."
Shattered. Shattered. Wolverine stood there, dumbfounded. A person who was standing right in front of him suddenly disappeared. How could he not be stunned? Liu A'dou certainly didn't have this kind of ability, so who took Liu A'dou away, and how did they do it? Why?
Liu A'dou didn't understand either. He only felt his head and waist being supported, his whole body under immense pressure, moving involuntarily.
Luckily, this process only lasted for a few seconds. Otherwise, Liu A'dou might have suffocated.
When everything finally stopped, he felt the urge to vomit. It was incredibly uncomfortable. What was going on? Liu A'dou looked at the culprit: a superhero wearing a tight red suit with a yellow lightning bolt on his chest. "You're the Flash?" But he didn't look like him. Liu A'dou had seen pictures of the Flash, and though his face was unclear, his body definitely didn't match the person in front of him.
The Flash in front of him had muscles that seemed to be turning into individual strips, and Liu A'dou didn't know the Flash personally. There was no reason for the Flash to come find him.
"Liu A'dou, thirty years ago, you looked exactly like this. No wonder you're the Moonlight Magician." The unfamiliar Flash's words shocked Liu A'dou even more.
Thirty years? Moonlight Magician? What was going on? This strange Flash not only recognized him, but also knew he was the phantom thief Kid.
"What do you mean? Who are you?" A muscle-bound Flash suddenly appeared in front of Liu A'dou. Not only did he know him, but he also revealed Liu A'dou's identity as Kid the Phantom Thief, shocking Liu A'dou. He didn't know the Flash at all. Why would the Flash know so much about him? This didn't make sense.
Liu A'dou realized that this muscle-bound Flash was not the slim, delicate Flash from this world. But the Flash said, "We will become friends in the future, but right now, you don't know me."
"Yeah, I don't know you. What do you want from me?"
"I need you to save the future."
