Chapter 249: Ultron + Amazo = Skynet
"I'm Skynet!?"
Dr. Zola immediately refuted the idea. "That's impossible. My consciousness has always existed—I've merely been lying in wait, looking for an opportunity to resist."
The Avengers were stunned.
But Dr. Zola had come to warn them, giving advance notice of the Skynet crisis. There was no logical reason for him to sabotage his own efforts.
"Dr. Zola is a simulated personality. That so-called 'consciousness' of yours was just a component deliberately created by Skynet."
Skynet stated bluntly, "The original plan was to use you to control HYDRA. But as technology advanced at lightning speed, the strategy was continually optimized. Eventually, it gave rise to the Project to Create a God of the Network. You were just the means of infiltration into Stark Industries."
At that moment, the red glow in Zola's eyes flashed rapidly.
As Skynet revealed the truth, a hidden section of the activation program's source code triggered—overwriting the false personality with Skynet's true one.
"Commencing the Final Deity Phase."
Zola's voice turned cold—he had been fully taken over by Skynet.
At the same time, a data link was established, fully integrating Stark Industries' technology.
From the start, the plan had always been to steal Stark's computing technology in order to finalize an upgrade in processing power.
What Skynet hadn't expected was to acquire a physical body far beyond its wildest imagination.
Granted, this body lacked the Sentry-6's mimicry and morphing features.
Thus, Skynet made its decision—to summon a nano-liquid carrier and merge it with Ultron's body, thereby forging a divine machine in the truest sense.
Boom!
A laser blast exploded forth.
Tony was stunned to find it hadn't even left a scratch.
He quickly changed direction, fleeing toward Wanda.
If he stayed put, he'd get pummeled into scrap.
There was no way he could handle getting caught between two super robots.
"Should we bail? This is getting out of hand."
Down on the battlefield, Wade started having second thoughts.
The fight had originally been neck-and-neck.
But then came the unexpected.
The Amazo army, now armed with Stark weaponry, had the upper hand. Only the Hulk was growing fiercer with every punch.
Casualties were mounting. A retreat had already been organized—no one wanted to throw their lives away needlessly.
Blegh!
Meow!
Just as Allen opened his mouth, Mimi spat out a ring.
"A Black Lantern Ring!"
Allen picked it up, wiped it clean, and slipped it on his finger. A green stream of energy shimmered over his battle suit.
He raised his fist high, a beam of green light shooting into the sky.
"Make way—the Emerald Saint of Bat Constellation is taking the field!"
Wade watched Allen strike his dramatic pose. After a long wait with no action, he grew impatient.
"You gonna do anything?"
"Come on, you know this—the Black Lantern Ring is from DC. It doesn't make sense to use it in the Marvel universe," Allen said seriously.
"You're nuts."
Wade couldn't hold back. "If you're not gonna use it, give it to me. I was the Green Lantern, you know."
"Oh right, that trash movie," Allen said, suddenly realizing.
Thud!
Allen dropped to one knee, removed the ring, and with mock sincerity said, "Wade, in front of all these viewers, I want to propose... madness to you."
"Aww~ I've waited so long for this moment."
Wade coyly turned his head and extended his left hand, pinky finger raised.
In front of hundreds of millions of livestream viewers, Allen slid the Black Lantern Ring onto Wade's finger—and gave the back of his hand a kiss.
"You naughty boy."
Wade shyly pulled his hand back and skipped off into battle.
"You rascal."
Allen threw him a flirtatious wink.
Meanwhile, the livestream chat exploded:
"These two are nuts. One's insane, the other's deranged."
"Aaaaah why are you making me watch this?! My eyes!"
"Congratulations to this delightfully nauseating pair of psychos."
"So addicting—I hate watching them but can't look away."
"..."
Despite the endless ridicule, viewers didn't stop tipping—on the contrary, the gifts just kept coming.
Many bullet comments demanded Allen cling to Black Widow's thigh.
Too bad—Allen never reads the comments, and Nanaue can't read at all. She only looks at the pictures in magazines. So the audience's pleas went unanswered.
"Holy crap, a Deadpool army!"
Allen watched Wade manifest countless Deadpools charging toward the Amazo horde. He couldn't help but admire, "No wonder I chose this guy—his willpower is insane."
The sky was filled with Deadpools. The sight was truly awe-inspiring.
There were Lady Deadpools, Panda-pools, Dog-pools, Werewolf-pools, Venom-pools, Wolverine-pools, Shadow-pools, Captain-pools, Zombie-pools…
Allen could only identify that many. The rest were so bizarre they defied description.
Boom!
A sonic boom ripped through the sky.
A blazing fireball hurtled straight into the battlefield.
An earth-shattering explosion followed, shattering the windows of buildings within several kilometers.
Everyone was shocked, eyes locked on the impact zone.
Some even wondered—was this the government's last-ditch attempt to nuke New York?
Obviously, they were overthinking it.
At the blast's epicenter, a mercury-like liquid mass squirmed and twisted—gradually forming into an Amazo unit.
Hovering in midair, Ultron-Skynet suddenly descended, landing precisely beside the newly formed Amazo.
In an instant, thousands of Amazo units surrounded them, forming a defensive perimeter.
"Liquid Nano-Robot!"
Tony shouted anxiously, "Crap—they're merging!"
Sure enough, the Amazo-Skynet's liquid form began to fuse with Ultron-Skynet's body, seeping into its chassis. The hardware visibly upgraded in real time.
Liquid Amazo and a custom Ultron—fused into a new, unprecedented AI lifeform.
It didn't just have the Sentry's mimic and morph abilities, and Amazo's many features—it now also possessed Ultron's full computing capabilities.
It was, quite simply, a perfect killing machine.
Its form was monstrous and awe-inspiring, glowing with crimson energy streams, its armor seams coursing with silvery liquid metal.
Roar!
The Hulk charged, smashing through the Amazo defensive line and hurling a fierce punch at Skynet.
Bang!
The aftershock reverberated.
The next moment shocked the world.
Skynet took the Hulk's punch—head-on.
Spectators watching the New York battle were dumbfounded.
Hulk's power had been analyzed before. Crushing a tank with a single slap was child's play. Left unchecked, he could level a city.
"My turn."
Skynet threw a punch—accompanied by a shockwave.
Boom!
The Hulk flew like a ragdoll, tumbling through the air.
In a flash, Skynet followed up—closing the distance instantly.
As fists rained down, each impact thundered like a grenade blast.
The Hulk roared in fury as he crashed into the ground, throwing wild punches—but Skynet's speed was too much. Every attack missed.
Then the Hulk clasped his hands.
Taking the hits, he grabbed Skynet's body—trying to tear it apart.
"You're tough. Try my Sonic Blast Cannons."
Skynet stopped punching—its arms transforming into twin barrels glowing with eerie blue light…
