Chapter 247: The Birth of a Doctor Zola-like Ultron
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Hulk rampaged through the concrete jungle of towering skyscrapers.
With a single slap, he flattened an Amazo drone, taking multiple laser blasts head-on—his rage soaring with each hit.
The angrier he got, the stronger he became.
Even when several Amazos formed a metallic cage using magnetic force in an instant, the Hulk tore it apart effortlessly, unleashing his fury without pause.
"Switch to the next location."
Allen decisively gave up on interviewing the Hulk, still stubbornly declaring, "The only thing I admire about the Hulk is that he's bigger than me."
"…"
Wade joked, "You mean your arms are bigger than his?"
"Nope."
Allen answered solemnly, "I meant my thighs."
Explosions roared across the battlefield as the Avengers struggled to withstand the Amazo army's assault.
Meanwhile, Doctor Stephen Strange was nowhere to be seen—because the third Sanctuary of Kamar-Taj was located right in New York.
He was guarding it alone.
Before retiring, the Ancient One had repeatedly emphasized that the three Sanctuarys must be preserved intact.
If even one Sanctuary was destroyed, the human realm would be open to multidimensional invasions.
The moment any Amazo got close to the Sanctuary, Stephen would cast a Mirror Dimension spell, warping space to trap the intruders.
Wanda, also a sorceress, was having a much harder time.
Over a hundred Amazos bombarded her from range using laser beams.
They resolutely kept their distance, using searing heat to wear down her strength.
Having previously lost hundreds of units almost instantly in Westview, the AI Skynet had since devised a counter-strategy.
A sorcerer's power isn't infinite—once her magic runs dry, death is inevitable.
"I have to step in. I'm not going to sit here and watch Sis Wanda die."
Allen didn't forget to remind, "Make sure the camera's on me."
"Hold up," Wade asked with a grin, "Aren't you afraid Secret Girl will see you helping another woman?"
"I'm the Comedic Bat, not Allen."
"…"
This self-deceiving excuse was basically a confession.
Sometimes saying nothing would've been better.
Allen leaned back and dove into a portal.
King Shark (Nanaue) held up the phone, glancing around for Allen's figure. But on the livestream, the screen was filled with shaky, blurry images—completely failing to capture the real-time battle.
With Allen joining the fray, Wanda immediately felt the pressure ease.
One by one, the airborne Amazos executing firepower suppression had their heads sliced off, tumbling out of the sky.
Allen was ambushing them from their backs via portals.
In response, over a hundred Amazos formed a computational matrix, entering a data-sharing mode.
Portals had a brief delay before opening, allowing them to predict and pre-aim at his next exit point, unleashing firepower to intercept.
But Allen wasn't stupid.
He cast three to five portals simultaneously, throwing off the Amazos and tricking them into firing on each other.
Roar!
A wave of sonic blasts burst from the Amazos' chests, shattering the portals in seconds.
Skynet, ruling the battlefield, quickly ordered a tactical shift to counter Allen's interference.
Of course, Allen himself was now clinging to Wanda's thigh.
"Reporting in, Sis Wanda. Cheat plug-in installed."
Wanda, holding up her barrier with both hands, could only look on helplessly at Allen shamelessly hugging her leg.
Just then, Allen pulled a hood from his cloak and put it on like a robber. He mimicked a robotic voice: "Plug-in system online. Welcome to the Allen Shame Extension. I'm your AI dummy, Lil' Al."
Wanda twitched uncontrollably.
You're not afraid Thor... Junior might sue you?
This hood was the same color as the yoga pants Allen had swapped out earlier—clearly unraveled from that yarn and stitched into a mask.
"I'm in the middle of a fight," Wanda reminded him.
"Yes, master."
Allen pitched his voice high and squeaky, asking, "Would you like a flamboyant battle anthem?"
Wanda snapped, "No! I want you to get off—stop hugging my leg!"
"Okay, master. Now entering song selection mode."
Allen then smugly added, "AI dummy Lil' Al will never obey any of the master's commands."
"Singing while fighting, lalala—"
Aaaaagh…
At that moment, Wanda truly lost it.
Her magical barrier wavered, rippling uncontrollably, on the verge of collapse.
And yet—suddenly, the tide turned.
Dozens of portals opened in midair, redirecting incoming laser beams straight into the attacking Amazos.
Just as Wanda was about to explode, she calmed herself. She realized she had wrongly blamed Allen—he really was helping.
Being able to control more than twenty portals at once? Even she wasn't confident she could do that.
Of course, she'd never learned this particular spell.
The counterattack began.
Wanda soared upward, chasing and annihilating Amazos, fully confident in casting her spells with the portals redirecting enemy fire.
At that moment, the livestream showed the battle across all fronts. Contrary to popular fears, Earth's defenses weren't crumbling.
New York's battlefield was held by the Avengers.
Each hero demonstrated their unique strengths.
Iron Man unleashed a barrage of tech—from the Iron Legion and Ultron bots to orbital weapon pods and drone swarms.
The Hulk, like an indestructible beast, smashed through the Amazo army with overwhelming force.
The Scarlet Witch displayed the true power of Chaos Magic.
On the West Coast battlefield in Los Angeles, the Justice League held the line.
Superman alone tanked nearly half the Amazo army's firepower.
Batman led his protégés in the Batplane and Batmobile, providing support.
Aquaman and Wonder Woman were both formidable fighters.
Key figures Cyborg and the Flash didn't join the physical battle. Instead, they fought Skynet through cyberspace.
Cyborg, being half-machine, used his unique nature to battle for control of the network. The Flash acted like a mobile power bank, constantly charging him up.
The X-Men held Chicago.
The Justice Society guarded Houston.
The Fantastic Four defended Philadelphia.
…
Although it looked like Earth's defenders were holding the line, in truth, Skynet was steadily reinforcing, aiming to exhaust its enemies into collapse.
On the internet front—
Skynet was hunting Cyborg. If it could locate and breach him, it could reverse-hack his body and integrate alien tech to evolve further.
Naturally, the Super Interview livestream didn't escape Skynet's surveillance.
"How can a data lifeform superior to me exist?!"
As Skynet attempted to hack the livestream, it found itself blocked by an impenetrable firewall—as if a mere ant were trying to move a mountain.
"Could it be…"
Meanwhile—
In the research lab at Stark Tower, a nano-3D printing pod suddenly released a burst of pressure.
Pshhh—
The chamber opened.
Doctor Zola stared at the newly forged body, his excitement unmistakable. "I've finally been reborn!"
That ultra-advanced machine, built by Tony Stark at the cost of tens of billions, was designed specifically to craft armor components. The metals stocked in that lab were second only to Adamantium.
Now, it had forged a Super Ultron body.
