Chapter 233: Nephew, Your Ultron Has Gone Rogue

Pop!

Allen yanked the toilet plunger free with great effort.

Steve stood there, gazing blankly at the sky with a dead-eyed expression, a red ring imprinted on his face. His whole face felt numb.

The other Avengers looked at him with faint, unspoken disdain in their eyes.

Ew…

He was unclean now.

A man who'd had a toilet plunger stuck to his face.

"Hehehe… pretty sweet, huh? You're the second guy to experience the power of the Silence Staff."

Allen proudly waved the toilet plunger around like a trophy.

Agatha, who had been watching with amusement, suddenly turned pale when she heard that. Memories she'd rather forget came flooding back.

The commotion died down.

Everyone returned to Wanda's place.

They laid everything out in full detail—how it all happened and what had led to it.

They were genuinely shocked to hear of Quicksilver's death.

After all, Pietro's restaurant wasn't far from Stark Tower. They often ate there and had built up a friendly relationship over time.

Plus, with Wanda's connection, they sometimes invited him to help handle tricky situations.

"Don't worry, we'll support you with everything we've got—as long as civilian safety is guaranteed," Tony said seriously.

"No problem."

Wanda nodded. "I never intended to involve innocent people."

On the night of the full moon—

A round moon hung high in the sky, its silver light blanketing the earth in a dreamlike glow.

They had to wait until midnight.

At that hour, the frequencies of the human world and the underworld would align most closely, and the dimensional barriers would be at their weakest. This made magical energy more abundant, increasing the chances of successfully retrieving Pietro's soul.

Meanwhile, outside Westview—

Luthor held a divine artifact: a damaged, ancient spear.

"No one knows the exact origin of the Spear of War, but it's passed through many hands in history—including Genghis Khan. He used it to bless his army, granting them unmatched might."

One of the transport team members explained the Spear of War's background.

During Genghis Khan's time, the human world was in utter chaos. It was a time when gods and mortals coexisted in Europe, and ordinary armies stood no chance of gaining control.

Using the Spear of War, his descendants could bless their troops to be immune to magic and divine interference, allowing them to conquer mighty empires with ease.

Luthor gripped the artifact upright with both hands. His business suit transformed instantly into a suit of metallic armor.

LexCorp had of course mastered nanotech. Due to its sky-high cost, it was reserved only for personal equipment, while the Amazo robots made large compromises in materials for cost-effectiveness.

Now, Luthor used an energy core to activate the residual power inside the Spear of War.

In an instant, blood-red lightning flowed across its surface, as if it were forged from thunder soaked in endless blood.

He pointed at the Amazo army.

The blood-red lightning shot out like a chain reaction, bonding to each of the Amazo units.

The operator immediately entered a command to send one unit to test the field.

As the Amazo approached the chaos magic barrier, a burst of crimson light flared up, colliding with the blood-red lightning. The two opposing forces clashed, pushing back against each other in a deadlock.

"It's midnight."

In the living room, numerous candles had been placed on top of magic runes.

The candlelight would guide the soul back, preventing it from getting lost in the underworld on the return trip.

Stephen and Wong closely monitored the changes in the array, ready to inject their own magic if necessary to assist Wanda.

Wanda sat at the center of the array.

She took a deep breath and slowly closed her eyes, her consciousness instantly entering a dreamwalking state.

She crossed through layers of dimensions, heading straight toward the underworld.

"Hey everyone, come watch the livestream."

Allen set up a communication array nearby and managed to connect to Hela in the underworld.

The group gathered around the mirror, watching the grand, majestic palace on the screen. They couldn't help but marvel—so the underworld wasn't nearly as terrifying as they'd imagined.

Hela sat back casually, sipping fine wine, with Fenrir drooling beside her. From time to time, the giant wolf gave Pietro a friendly lick.

"Allen, your friend's got some guts—coming into the underworld alone to drag someone out. He's got to be one of the top-tier Sorcerer Supremes," Hela said with mild interest.

"C'mon, do you think I'd go for anyone ordinary? Back then, she practically begged for death just to get my attention," Allen replied, shameless as ever.

Those familiar with him were used to his antics. Those who weren't were utterly shocked by his lack of shame.

"Oh please, you said the same thing about Illyana last time."

Hela smirked and teased, "Forgot your little sweetheart already?"

"She wasn't my type. We broke up."

Allen flicked his hair and casually offered a flimsy excuse: "Aside from the blonde hair and ripped fishnets, what did she have going for her? Her 'hills' looked more like valleys. I couldn't stay interested."

"Ohhh… really now!"

Suddenly, Pietro squeezed into the shot, looking excited. "Finally caught you! I'm definitely calling Mystique later. You really dragged her through the mud."

"Hey hey hey, Fast Boy, that's low. So what if I knocked up your sister? No need to be petty."

Allen scowled. "Mom! Don't let him come back. I don't want a broken home."

The other Avengers stared at Hela on the screen, recalling she was supposedly Thor's sister.

Their minds couldn't quite compute what was going on—why was Allen calling her "Mom"? Could he be her secret lovechild from her time on Earth?

Curiosity surged. They couldn't help but let their imaginations run wild.

Maybe Hela had been exiled by Odin because she had a child, and that's why she ended up ruling the underworld.

"Allen, you better tell me the truth—my sister's not really having your kid, is she?"

Pietro demanded again, equal parts furious and betrayed.

It was the classic "I treated you like a bro, and you wanna marry my sister?!" outrage.

"She came after me. Both of them. Twins, remember?" Allen replied with his signature smirk.

"You're dead. When I get back to Earth, I'm sending you straight to the underworld."

As Pietro ranted, the scene suddenly shifted.

Hela rose into the air, her hand gathering the divine power of death into a weapon.

The communication array, focused on her, began to shift with her movement.

"Cut the link now," Hela warned. "Some unwelcome guests are trying to interfere. Don't want them spying while you're working dark magic."

The mirror went black.

Everyone was disappointed—the thought of watching a battle between gods of death had them intrigued.

"Inside! Come out and surrender immediately, or we'll use force!"

A warning rang out, followed by explosions and the panicked screams of residents, making everyone's expressions change at once.

As expected—something unexpected happened right on schedule.

Doctor Strange and Wong remained at Wanda's side, ready to assist with magic as needed.

Allen, Agatha, Natasha, Steve, Tony, and Barton headed outside.

Looking up, they saw dozens of Amazo robots hovering in formation, surrounding the house.

Their ability to track the group so quickly was thanks to inheriting the X-Gene scanning tech from the Sentinels.

Allen turned to Tony in disbelief. "Nephew, did your Ultron go rogue?"

"That's Amazo. Ultron's still in production—we haven't even started deploying them yet," Tony explained with a helpless shrug.

"Sh*t, aren't those DC's toys? What are they doing in the Marvel sandbox?"
