Chapter 187: Allen: I Want to Witness Forbidden Love Between Man and Beast

The stone coffin creaked open slightly. Allen rushed forward and stomped down on the coffin lid.

"With this Emperor here, you unclean creatures shall not act with impunity!"

King Foltest had already crawled under the bed in terror, his eyes wide with fright.

Just then, Geralt and the other two arrived, catching sight of Allen subduing the vampire harpy inside the coffin.

Hearing the banging from within the stone coffin, a mysterious smile crept onto Allen's face. He shouted, "You there! Bring me two iron chains!"

The three of them guessed that he intended to bind the vampire harpy and wait for daylight to deal with it.

Before long, Geralt returned, carrying a bundle of thick, heavy chains on his back.

Allen took the chains and scanned the royal bedchamber. Noticing the candles lit in every corner, he nodded with satisfaction. "Saves me the trouble of looking for candles. No tomb raiding after the rooster crows and the lamps go out—that's the rule handed down from the Tomb-Raiding Corps."

"Open the coffin and claim the loot!"

With those words, Allen lifted his foot from the coffin lid.

The cover flew off instantly, and a putrid stench wafted out.

In the next moment, a massive, terrifying figure burst from the coffin—a twisted beast with gray-black skin, thick limbs, and a torso as wide as a beer keg.

Geralt let out a breath. "Thank goodness it hasn't grown wings."

The underdeveloped wings on the vampire harpy's back meant it hadn't reached its mature form. Otherwise, its power would've been even more terrifying, and it might have had the ability to fly. If that happened, their plan to lift the curse could fail entirely—it could just fly off and escape.

"Take this—Nebula Chains!"

Crack!

Allen cracked the chain, landing a heavy blow across the vampire harpy's back.

The searing pain immediately redirected the creature's hatred toward Allen.

Roar…

With a furious screech, the vampire harpy lunged at him, its maw lined with dagger-like teeth wide open, as if ready to rip him in half with a single bite.

Crack!

The chain lashed through the air again.

In a flash, Allen's strike sent the vampire harpy flying.

"The sacred art of S&M!"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Allen pressed the assault. The chains in his hands lashed out like whips, smacking against the vampire harpy with resounding cracks.

The agony overwhelmed even the creature's hunger. It curled up on the ground, writhing in pain. Each strike from the chain seared like fire across its skin.

It didn't even understand what it had done to deserve such a savage beating. It had merely woken up to find food and now found itself being brutally punished.

"Say I'm handsome, you little bitch."

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Whimper… whimper…"

The vampire harpy whimpered like it was crying, unable to comprehend human speech, let alone respond.

Allen's arms spun like a windmill, fully immersed in his frenzy.

"Ohoho… I will tame you."

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Geralt, Agatha, Gu Yi, and King Foltest dared not utter a word as they watched Allen brutalize the monster. One wrong move, and that frenzied lashing might turn on them instead.

"Say something! Do you like how I treat you?"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Already so overwhelmed you can't speak, huh?"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"Knew you were a shameless little bitch."

Crack! Crack! Crack!

...

It was savage—unbelievably so.

No one had expected Allen to have such a wild side.

The vampire harpy was beaten into submission, her once bloodthirsty gaze now filled only with terror.

With pure, brutal violence, Allen had completely broken the will of a monster.

He finally stopped and bound the vampire harpy's arms in chains, looping them around a stone pillar in the chamber and suspending her midair.

Then Allen turned to King Foltest and asked, "Your Majesty, how do you like this position?"

"I meant for you to kill her!" Foltest snapped anxiously.

"Killing her would be such a waste. Didn't you say you liked to play?"

Allen gave a sinister grin. "Ohoho… Don't squander my heartfelt effort."

"What do you mean? Don't you want the reward anymore?" Foltest asked, anger creeping into his tone.

Clearly, he regarded Allen and his companions as typical monster hunters—easily swayed by money and expected to obey orders when paid.

"I don't want it. I want to witness forbidden love between man and beast. Hehehe…"

Allen didn't care about money. He calmly threatened, "So? Will it be a couple lashes to make you cooperate, or are you going to do this willingly?"

Remembering how Allen had just mercilessly whipped the vampire harpy, Foltest shivered uncontrollably.

Crushed by Allen's oppressive presence, Foltest reluctantly walked up to the harpy. The stench hit him hard, and revulsion surged in his chest.

He looked back at Allen, his eyes pleading.

But Allen simply bared his teeth in an eager grin.

Geralt, Agatha, and Gu Yi all turned away, unable to bear the sight.

Foltest took a deep breath and began unfastening his belt. Every passing second felt like time had frozen—he just wanted this nightmare to end.

"Your Majesty, stop!"

A robed middle-aged man burst into the chamber.

The moment he appeared, Foltest looked as though he'd been saved by a divine hand. "Ostrit the Mage! Save me!"

Royal court mage Ostrit stepped forward with righteous indignation. "Do not fear, Your Majesty. No harm shall come to you while I am here."

As he spoke, Ostrit retrieved a vial of potion and began readying a spell.

"Reveal the truth, culprit behind it all!"

Allen pulled out the toilet plunger tucked in his belt and said, "You're the one who cast the curse. That vampire harpy is the king's daughter—I've already uncovered the truth. Hehehe…"

"What nonsense are you spouting?"

"She's my daughter?!"

Both Ostrit and Foltest were stunned.

But the very next second, they turned on each other.

"Ostrit! What's going on? Is what he said true?" Foltest demanded.

He'd always believed the monster was some outside beast occupying the fortress—but clearly, there was more to the story.

"Your Majesty, don't listen to him," Ostrit said with a flicker of panic in his eyes, trying to stay calm. "That man must be a spy from an enemy nation trying to sow discord."

"Yao-mei, go find the evidence. Let's put on a good show," Allen said, giving Gu Yi a meaningful glance.

Gu Yi immediately turned and left the chamber.

Ostrit's expression changed drastically. He made a move to intercept her.

But Agatha raised her bow and drew a golden arrow, warning, "Don't make any sudden moves."

"Who are you people?" Ostrit demanded, voice filled with fury.

"Earthlings," Allen replied bluntly.

"…"

What the hell does that mean?

He'd never heard of any country called Earth.

"We're mages from Kamar-Taj," Agatha clarified.

"Kamar-Taj!"

Ostrit's eyes filled with dread.

He was just a low-ranking member of the Brotherhood of Sorcerers. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been stationed in a backwater kingdom.

Truly powerful mages never left the Brotherhood's headquarters. They stayed in the heart of their domain.

But unlike the Brotherhood, whose influence was limited to northern Europa, Kamar-Taj was renowned across the human world.

In fact, a formal mage from Kamar-Taj would be considered elite even within the Brotherhood. The two organizations had vastly different standards for what counted as a mage.

Still, Ostrit wasn't worried about their backgrounds. What truly terrified him was the possible exposure of his secrets.
