Chapter 30 - EPISODE 35: “The Echo Within the Flame”

A Palace Stilled by a Kiss

The palace — once alive with tension and chaos — now falls silent.

After Sylin kisses Sang, his irises—once on the brink of a violent color shift—fade gently into calm.

His breath steadies.

The looming transformation pauses.

Without a word, Sang places his hands on Sylin's cheeks, softly moving her face away from his.

He holds her hand—not coldly, but carefully—and walks her over to the group of trusted warriors: Rohdan, Mohiran, Upanor, Azira, Selia, Lyra.

Sang (calm, firm):

"Take care of her."

Sylin stands pale, her lips trembling, her mind whirling. The warmth of the kiss lingers, but Sang is already turning away.

All around, the palace breathes in disbelief.

Whispers slither through the chamber like echoes from stone.

Zoick (in awe):

"Damn… what just happened?"

Rakhad (low, eyes wide):

"It… it can't be…"

Eldrin (to himself, shaken):

"He's remembering her… again? No… this is worse."

From the far end, Kaizer, who had been kneeling all this time, now stares ahead — frozen, stunned, speechless.

Did he truly witness it? Or was it a fragment of a forgotten dream?

Then, everything changes.

Sang turns back toward the portal—but not as the brutal, cold sovereign they'd come to fear.

A subtle smirk plays on his lips.

A dangerous, familiar warmth.

Without a word, he walks into the swirling portal.

The Conclave's Thoughts and Shadows

Above, in the celestial realms…

Inside the Eternal Conclave, the words of King 3 echo like thunder:

King 3 (resonating):

"Roykthai."

The other kings begin to depart, but Vilgrim stays behind, his face clouded with thoughts.

In his mind, confusion and unease spiral:

Vilgrim (inner monologue):

"Roykthai… a name from the Kthai clan. But why does my soul echo with another name? Why does it burn… like I've heard it before…?"

"Keyokthai Shammroy…"

"And… that other clan. The one the old man showed me in Libru's hidden library…"

He clenches his fist.

Something ancient is unraveling—and he can feel it pressing against the walls of his mind.

Back on Earth — A Stirring Unease

A blast of light.

Sang Jaey, Eldrin, Zoick, and Rakhad arrive on Earth.

Dust settles. Air changes.

They stand amidst the cold winds of their home planet.

Zoick (confused):

"Sang, what now? Why bring us here in such a rush?"

Sang doesn't even meet his gaze.

Sang (distant, emotionless):

"Go to your homes."

They obey.

Sang walks alone, through a path long abandoned, until he reaches his old, ruined house.

The lock clicks.

Silence greets him—familiar, but heavier now.

He freshens up. Water splashes. The mirror shows him a face he barely understands anymore.

Sang (in thought):

"What I witnessed… it felt like Earth. The voice… it told me to come here. To understand what lies in my heart."

Later, he turns on the TV.

FLASH.

The news report blares—images fill the screen:

Fires. Collapsed buildings. Forests blackened to ash. ( The images that sang ruined before he goes to zius ).

Reporter:

"The petrology team has finally released visuals of the mysterious rocks found beneath the Earth."

The screen shows ancient carvings—battle scenes, demonic figures , glyphs.

Sang leans forward. His heart races.

Sang (whispers):

"Those… those strokes. They're the same I saw in the void…"

Reporter (continuing):

"The burned forest is confirmed to be the same region affected by the fire during the unexplained duel incident. Evidence suggests a massive energy discharge."

"Collapsed structures suggest non-human interference. The public fears this could be a global turning point."

Petrology Member (on camera):

"We detected a strange frequency. Something buried deep below the crust. And we're still digging."

Sang turns off the TV. His hands tremble.

He sits at the edge of the bed, gasping for air.

Sang (to himself):

"What's happening to me…?

Why do I remember it all… before it even happens?

And that figure… that blade… who is holding it?"

The Hunt Begins: A New Journey

Back at the Eternal Conclave, in its final echoes of the day…

A knight straps into his monstrous flying creature—half-dragon, forged of cosmic bone.

Knight (gruff):

"Where now, my King?"

Vilgrim, cloaked and stern, looks ahead.

Vilgrim (resolute):

"We're going to see the old man. The one from Libru. The one who knows."

Knight (concerned):

"Are we really headed to that ruin…? That cursed world?"

Vilgrim (cold):

"Yes.

To that place only.

To NOVERUS."
