Change is another thing I have gotten almost used to in this day-to-day life. It feels so much nicer now that I am actually talking to people. Abby is a big reason for my calm mind. She has been nagging me to do every good thing, like taking up reading habits and making me do yoga, because Abby noticed how I started to get dark spots under my eyes after I started to study the Omnitrix or thought about something else in the night...
I walk out of the bathroom and dry my hair as I walk to my closet and put on a casual white shirt, a black jacket, and some casual jeans—really nothing special; it was normal, one of the few things that was still normal in my life... ha, how funny, my clothes are the most normal thing about me... wait, is that an insult to my fashion sense?? No way!
I walk out of my room and sit down at the dinner table, and there she was, Abby. She looked way better too. She was still smaller than me, and she wore a hoodie and pants, and she was drinking tea, and there was no real change; she just looked like she had not been skipping meals anymore, and she looked happy, but she stopped smiling the second my hand went out to grab her snacks...
"Get your own chips! Idiot! You are not eating my snacks in the morning!" And Abby spoke in an annoyed tone, like she was done with me, but I did not even do anything! yet...
I grab the bag of chips fast when Abby was sipping her tea... and I start to run around the apartment with the bag of chips, eating them fast! while muttering, "Mah hey hey, stop, let me have some! I swear I'll buy you more!"
And before Leo knew it, he was sitting on the couch feeling annoyed, and Abby was still speaking: "You are so annoying; you act like a child. I swear you are supposed to be the big brother, right? But here you are taking my snacks away! you pig!" And I just look at her like she was at fault here!
The drama goes on in the apartment, which was once dark and quiet...
After that I move out of the apartment for college, and I drop Abby off at her school too. The sky was bright—a good day! I walk around to the college, entering the gate...
"Hey, Leo, what's up, dude?"
"Yo, Nothing, just going to catch class. You bucking again?"
"Well, yeah! I swear your going to class is useless; you ace every test!"
"Well, maybe if you start to go to class, maybe you will also start acing it, John. See you later."
And I keep walking without looking back. That guy was John, pretty much the bully in the college. Why did I speak with him so casually? Well, why would you not make the college bully your friend? Plus, he is actually a cool dude if you stop thinking about how he shit-talks every nerd in class...
Plus, I don't want problems, just a peaceful college life, and this is how you get it: become friends with the cool kids, but don't bully the nerdy kids, and that's how you stay right in the middle! Perfectly anyway, I reach the class door. It was physics class today. I was only going to be there for the physics class and bunk the rest of the day because from now on I have to start stalking Jessica to make sure she does not meet him when I am not around...
I open the door, and the class looks at me because I was, as always, 4 minutes late, and I smile at the teacher and speak in an honest tone, "Hey, Miss, can I come in?" And Savita looks at me in an annoyed way. She just seemed done as she spoke, "Oh, is it not Mr. Leo? What's your excuse today? for being late? Did the bus get late, or was it the train this time?" And the rest of the class was giggling, and I smiled at Savita while walking in and sitting down on my seat.
"Well, you won't believe it. Miss, this time my sister's friend's dog, which was staying with us for today, actually would not let me go, so I had to put him to sleep with some treats and make him do some tricks till he got tired, and that's why I am late today." I speak in a bluntly honest tone, which pretty much makes the whole class burst out in laughter, and the only one who was not laughing was Savita, who seemed done with me, not even angry anymore.
"Yeah, keep your stories to yourself. Anyway, class, open up chapter 6. We are doing a mock test today, and I expect everyone to give their best," and when Savita says the last part, she looks at me, and I just put on an innocent face, acting like I never joked around in mock tests... even though I do that a lot.
I honestly don't care about mock tests; I never did. What's the point of trying on a test that does not matter? It's like running for a race, but that race is just you running around in your backyard. See, it does not matter. Well, unless you are unfit to run, then it matters, but me? Ha, the last thing I worry about is college tests...
