Chapter 34 - 'Dragon...' - Chapter 34

I hit the jackpot! Holy cow, there is everything here, huh? But not everything here is useful to me. I only liked a few of the books here: [1 Chi Augmentation, 2 (Iron Fist) Chi Portal Creation, 3 Chi Flight, 4 Chi Healing, 5 Chi Infusion, 6 Chi Blade Construction, 7 (Iron Fist) Chi Elemental Manipulation, 8 Chi Detection, 9 Chi Absorption, 10 (Iron Fist) Chi Siphon Lifeforce, 11 (Iron Fist) Chi Mind Meld.] These 11 Chi techniques are the only ones I want.

And also I learned about a few new things, like Chi portal creation. I've never heard about that before, but if this works, I don't need to worry about moving from here to there anymore, including Chi Blade Construction and Chi Elemental Manipulation. I also did not hear about them, but they sound cool, but what is written here? Iron fist?

"Hey, what does this mean? Why do some of the books have Iron Fist marked on them?" Hearing my question, Yü-Ti frowns and says, "There is an Iron Fist mark on them because only the Iron Fist can use those Chi techniques..." and hearing Yü-Ti answer put a cold bucket of water on my head because if I could not get the Iron Fist from Shou-Lao, then out of these 11 books, 4 of them would be useless...

Letting out a deep sigh, I started to pull out a camera from my backpack and started to take photos of all the 11 books, every single page fast, and after a few minutes, I was done. Also, there was this big book about 'Chi,' and I also took a photo of the chapter about how to control and use Chi. Other than that, there was also a history part, which was missing from the book, and I looked at Yü-Ti and spoke, "This part is missing," and Yü-Ti spoke in a cold tone, "You only asked for everything about Chi, not K'un-lun history," and I smiled at him. He was a pretty smart old man, still holding back info from me? Huh?

"Well, whatever, this is good anyway; now take me to Shou-Lao, and then I leave K'un-Lun," and then I stand up and stretch my body a little and then walk out of the hut, and all the monks give me scared or angry looks, but without a care in the world, I walk out of the hut and wait outside for Yü-Ti to guide me...

After Yü-Ti walks out of the hut, he walks past me, and I walk behind him casually without a hint of carefulness, like I was out on a holiday vacation... and the monks who were following me did not like that. I could feel their eyes on my back like they wanted to stab me or something, but the second.

I looked back; there was no one there. Everyone was doing something. One little monk was on the tree counting how many leaves the tree had, another monk was swiping the ground with his staff... and another monk was singing poems while looking at the sky. It was a little funny how these guys tried to act like they were not following me and Yü-Ti...

And after walking down from the hill, it was pretty different here. It's still crazy how this place had woods, and then just on that hill was snow... it doesn't make sense, but well, I don't make sense either... so whatever. After reaching what looks like a river, I keep walking.

But Yü-Ti stops and speaks, "From this point, no one shall come, only me... and him." After saying that, the monks who were following us start to jog away, and then Yü-Ti keeps walking, and I follow him, and Yü-Ti speaks while walking near the river, "James Lee, you look young but show power and judgment beyond your age. Not only that, you seem to know everything and everyone. Your wisdom is so deep that even I can't see through it."

And hearing the old man's words, I smile and say, "Oh wow, who knew you, the Iron Fist of this era, would be such a good psychiatrist?" Hearing my words, Yü-Ti spoke, "Did the hand pay you?" A calm and reasonable question—that is what Yü-Ti asked, but as he spoke, I could feel the hate and also what was a sense of impending doom...

"Who do you think I am? Do you think I work under people weaker than me? Ha, you're dumb if you think that if I wanted money, I would just rob the Hand, not do what they say." I, on the other hand, spoke in a casual tone and shook my head at Yü-Ti casually, making the mood less dark with my words.

"I see then. Well, we are here. Go in that cave; you will find Shou-lao..." After saying that, Yü-Ti turned around and started to walk away, leaving me near the cave near the river; this place did look peaceful and had a different vibe about it...

And with a smile on my face, I take my bag off and put it on the ground as I start to slowly walk inside the cave... On the other hand, Yü-Ti went back to the village and spoke, "Get ready for war..." Right now, Yü-Ti's thoughts were, "From what I understood, he is not the type of man to work under anyone, but if he tries to kill Shou-Lao or take him away, then we have to fight..."

As I stepped inside the cave, it was dark for sure, and Shou-Lao, I was not worried about him. Sure, he is a dragon, but well, Danny Rand without Chi beat Shou-Lao... Danny Rand is not even on the level of Spider-Man... and as a human without the powers of Iron Fist, Danny won against this so-called dragon, so how hard can this possibly be?

Just as the cave was starting to get so dark that I could not even see my hands, I saw red eyes in the cave light up, and for a second a chill passed through my body, but then what I heard made my head throb...

{Human, are you here for the trial?}
