Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Tony’s Visit

Is this… my sister's room?

Little Sally slowly sat up in the soft bed, blinking in confusion. The cozy scent of lavender and sunlight filled the air. Her hand reached up instinctively and touched her cheek, then the silky quilt beneath her. She could feel it.

She had a body again. A real one.

"Am I alive…?"

Still dazed, she looked at her small hands. They were warm, solid, and hers.

Then, in her classic way, she did what she always did when something confused her.

"Ask big sister."

Throwing the blankets aside, Sally jumped out of bed barefoot, her small feet padding softly against the wooden floor. Her heart was pounding, not with fear—but with pure, joyful excitement.

She sprinted down the stairs, her little face glowing, her hair bouncing wildly.

And there she was.

Bella stood in the open kitchen, casually cooking lunch. The sunlight shining in from the large windows bathed her in a soft golden hue.

"Sister Bella!" Sally's voice cracked with emotion.

She ran straight into Bella's waist, hugging her tightly.

Bella had expected the little one to wake soon, but the intensity of the hug still caught her by surprise. She turned, crouched down, and gently lifted Sally into her arms.

"Sister promised," she whispered, holding Sally close. "I said I'd help you live like a real child. And I meant it."

"Mhm…" Sally nodded into her shoulder, her voice muffled by tears.

She was finally alive again. Not a ghost. Not a memory. A person.

"Will I get to eat yummy food now? And… go to the amusement park?"

"Of course," Bella smiled, brushing her hair. "I'll take you there myself."

"And can I play with Cosmo and Nina?"

"Absolutely. They've been waiting for you."

Sally giggled, wiping her eyes and showing off her crooked little teeth. She beamed.

"Okay!"

Bella ruffled her hair. "Now go wash up. Lunch is almost ready, and I made all your favorites."

---

That day became the happiest day of Sally's life.

She had her body. Her sister. Her family.

They walked hand in hand through the streets of New York. Cosmo, the loyal golden retriever, followed alongside them, and Nina, the chunky blue cat, sat lazily in Bella's sling bag, blinking at passersby.

They ate ice cream, bought new clothes, rode the carousel, and laughed until sunset.

Everywhere they went, people couldn't help but smile. The tall, elegant woman in black and the energetic, sweet child by her side—they looked like something from a dream.

They were family. And they were whole again.

---

Three days passed like this—blissfully.

Only when Sally was finally satisfied did Bella shift her focus back to reality.

She needed to prepare Sally's new identity.

After all, Sally had technically been declared dead over a decade ago. Keeping her old records was out of the question.

Thankfully, Bella wasn't just a talented spellcaster.

She was also rich.

A shareholder in Stark Industries. A genius scientist. A woman with deep connections.

In a country like America, all you need is the right amount of money and power—and Bella had both.

Within a few short days, Sally's official identity was restored with a new name, background, and school eligibility.

Bella smirked. The only real challenge would be how to explain this to certain nosy people.

She wasn't worried.

---

One lazy morning, Sally was curled up on the couch with Nina in her lap, watching anime with sparkling eyes.

Bella lounged nearby, one leg crossed over the other, a laptop resting on her thighs. Her face was relaxed, but her eyes were sharp—thinking, planning.

Then she froze. Her eyes narrowed.

"Why is he here?" she muttered.

Ding-dong.

The doorbell rang a moment later.

Sally didn't even hear it. She was too absorbed in her show.

Bella stood, set the laptop down on the glass table, and made her way to the entrance.

Two men in suits stood outside—Tony Stark and his ever-present bodyguard, Happy Hogan.

Tony had a metal briefcase in one hand, and a smirk on his face.

Bella didn't step out to greet them. She simply opened the gate and looked them over.

Her gaze landed on the box.

"You're in a good mood," she said coolly.

Happy immediately tensed. Something about this woman made his skin crawl.

It wasn't her beauty—though she was stunning.

It was her aura. Her presence. Like standing in the eye of a hurricane.

He instinctively took a step back.

"She's dangerous," his bodyguard instincts whispered.

Extremely dangerous.

Tony didn't seem fazed. He stepped forward with a grin.

"Photos didn't do you justice," he said. "You're younger and prettier than I expected."

Bella didn't even blink.

She'd heard it all before.

"Come inside," she said, turning without waiting for them.

---

Instead of the living room, Bella led them around to the back balcony, where a set of elegant wicker chairs were arranged around a round glass table.

The view overlooked a lush garden and a still pool. Birds chirped somewhere in the distance.

Bella brewed fresh coffee, poured two cups, and sat down across from Tony.

"So," she said. "What do you want?"

Her voice was calm. Almost bored.

Happy stood quietly behind Tony, still trying to figure out what made this woman so intimidating.

Tony, of course, was unbothered.

He reached over and opened the metal case, revealing a sealed contract.

Bella took it, flipped through a few pages, then casually tossed it back on the table.

"You're not surprised," Tony said, raising an eyebrow.

"You're here on behalf of the military?"

Tony shrugged. "Not exactly. They asked me to deliver a message. I agreed… under certain conditions."

He removed his sunglasses and leaned forward.

Bella said nothing.

She stared at him—not suspiciously, but without emotion. As if she already knew everything he was going to say.

Tony smiled faintly.

He didn't expect her to be this composed.

Not even the Princess of Dubai had managed to act this indifferent around him, and she was royalty.

But this woman…

She was something else.

Bella's energy was overwhelming, even without doing anything. She didn't just hold power—she was power.

---

Back in the living room, Sally was still curled up with Nina, giggling as her favorite anime character tripped and fell in exaggerated fashion.

She had no idea that the man currently sipping coffee on her sister's balcony was one of the most famous people on Earth.

And that he had come not just with business…

But a warning.
