"Wha… this guy's strength is insane… even ten giants can't compare to this monster's power…"
Sengoku nearly wanted to curse out loud.
He had eaten the Zoan-type, Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Model: Great Buddha.
Because it was a Zoan—more than that, a Mythical Zoan—when he transformed into the Great Buddha form, his strength skyrocketed, enough to arm wrestle Whitebeard.
Yet now, he was being pinned to the ground and crushed by a giant fox.
The giant fox's azure sphere was about to slam down. Sengoku sucked in a deep breath, and in a flash, released his Buddha form.
His massive body shrank instantly, causing the Nine-Tails' paw to fall downward.
Taking the chance, Sengoku's figure flickered, darting toward his old comrade Garp, panting heavily as he said:
"Garp, be careful of Uzumaki Naruto. That brat is no less dangerous than Whitebeard. Today, it'd be best if we left him here too."
"…"
Garp looked at Whitebeard in front of him, speechless.
"Sengoku, then how about you deal with Whitebeard, and I go after Uzumaki Naruto?"
Sengoku glanced at Whitebeard, his lips twitching.
Both choices were a curse—no matter who he faced, it gave him a headache.
At that moment, Naruto's enormous Chō Ōdama Rasenshuriken (Super Giant Spiraling Shuriken) smashed down. The colossal Rasengan tore open a massive hole in the battlefield.
The high-speed spinning wind blades were like a drill, piercing straight through all of Marineford.
In its place, a geyser of seawater erupted into the air.
At the same time, Whitebeard unleashed a devastating punch—his "Gura Gura" shockwaves rippled across the entire island.
BOOM!!!
Already shattered to pieces, Marineford split again with a deafening crack, forming a massive rift valley that cleaved the island in two.
The raging sea burst up through the fissure.
Though the island hadn't yet sunk, it was only a matter of time.
And every clash above only deepened the trembling fractures, as if total collapse was moments away.
Seeing this apocalyptic scene, feeling the tremors under their feet, the faces of Marines and pirates alike turned pale.
Life or death, victory or defeat—at the core, both sides were fighting for triumph.
But now? This was the rhythm of mutual destruction.
No matter who won or lost—if Marineford collapsed, everyone would be sent to the depths to play poker with the Fishmen.
"T-This…"
The three Admirals broke into cold sweat. This wasn't in the plan.
Who would've thought a single execution could lead to Marineford's destruction? At this rate, the Navy's losses would be immeasurable.
Kizaru suddenly halted his attacks and said in a low voice:
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, let them go!"
For this execution, the Navy had summoned over a hundred thousand elites from every branch. This force could not be squandered.
Sengoku's face twisted with conflict. Gritting his teeth, he pulled out the Den Den Mushi:
"Haven't you sent reinforcements yet!?"
On the other end came an aged, but commanding voice, displeased:
"Sengoku, we've been watching the broadcast. This failure is entirely yours."
"I know!" Sengoku didn't deny it—this was indeed his blunder.
Before the execution, he had considered risks, but he never imagined so many powerhouses would appear, all of them monsters of the old era.
"But!" Sengoku's voice hardened, "Didn't you, the World Government, support this execution as well?"
The elder on the line fell silent for a moment, then said coldly:
"Sengoku, once this war ends, resign as Fleet Admiral."
Click. Buzz. Buzz.
"What!?" Sengoku's brow furrowed deeply. He hadn't yet grasped whether the World Government and the Gorosei would intervene.
BOOM!!!
Suddenly, a purple-glowing pentagram flared into existence on Marineford's ground.
A pillar of light shot skyward.
Naruto, in his Nine-Tails form, blinked in shock:
"No way—that's a teleportation array!?"
The pentagram pulsed with searing black lightning, exuding terrifying pressure.
Aside from its ominous appearance, its essence wasn't unlike a Summoning Technique from the shinobi world.
"This feeling… could it be the World Government's Gorosei?" Whitebeard narrowed his eyes at the array.
He remembered clearly—in the God Valley incident, the Gorosei had already displayed such teleportation powers, descending instantly onto battlefields.
And every single one of them was troublesome.
Rayleigh, Shiki, Barrett… all their faces darkened as they gazed at the emerging figure.
With a flash of violet light, a dreadful presence stepped forth from the pentagram.
His body was wreathed in black smoke, hair and beard stark white, his long whiskers trailing to his abdomen. Two horns jutted from his temples.
Worst of all, instead of legs, six massive violet spider limbs supported him.
His swollen abdomen gave him the look of a monstrous spider-man.
"Phew!" Sengoku finally exhaled in relief.
"Saint Jaygarcia Saturn—you've arrived!"
If no help had come, he truly would've had to let the pirates go—because they simply couldn't win otherwise.
The spider-bodied elder, Jaygarcia Saturn, planted his staff heavily onto the ground and barked at Whitebeard, Shiki, Rayleigh, and the others:
"Remnants of the old era—have you prepared for your deaths!?"
Whitebeard snorted coldly.
"Trash of the World Government… you call us remnants of the old era—then what are you?"
He remembered—since long ago, the Gorosei hadn't changed their appearance one bit.
Their age far surpassed his own.
Jaygarcia Saturn grunted, not wasting more words. After all, Whitebeard and these pirates were dangerous—supreme Armament Haki could wound even his so-called immortal body.
"Sengoku, I'll summon the other Gorosei right away. Prepare yourself—we will annihilate them all in one stroke—"
"Hm!?"
In the middle of his words, Saturn froze.
A terrifying power pressed down upon him.
Turning, his pupils dilated to the limit, staring in disbelief at the golden Nine-Tailed Fox.
"What… what is that monster!? I've never heard of a Devil Fruit granting such a form!!"
