Thunderous roars echoed from the mountainside.
Anyone witnessing the scene would be left slack-jawed at the sight—Nibi no Bakeneko (Two-Tails), engulfed in azure flames, was being pummeled mercilessly.
A blond youth—Naruto—threw down punch after punch with wild fury.
Each blow, had it not landed on the Two-Tails, would have carved a massive crater into the earth or split the mountain with spiderweb cracks.
And what's more frightening—his power was still growing punch by punch.
The once-grand cliffside gorge was now on the brink of collapse, riddled with fissures, crumbling under the sheer force of the beating.
As for the main target of that barrage...
"GROOOARRR!!"
The Two-Tails let out a pained scream.
It was sent flying again, a deep crater carved into its flaming midsection.
And due to the nature of a perfect jinchūriki, both Nii Yugito and Matatabi could feel the pain.
Within their shared consciousness, Matatabi growled:
"Yugito, run! You can't win against this monster. He's even scarier than the Fourth Raikage... and right now he's not even serious."
It had already given everything to support Yugito, and they still couldn't stand against Naruto.
"If I can't win in battle, how could I possibly run?" Yugito gritted her teeth. "According to the intel, this guy can use space-time ninjutsu. I have to hold out until backup arrives."
Matatabi grew more anxious.
"Then where is that backup!? I can't hold on much longer…"
In full Bijū form, injuries were hard to heal—this was her true body, not a mere chakra avatar.
Even the Eight-Tails' horn, once cut off by the Fourth Raikage, never grew back.
In desperation, Matatabi roared and lunged forward, maw wide open, aiming to swallow Naruto whole.
But Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement.
"If I remember correctly... inside a Tailed Beast's stomach, you can eat its meat, right!?"
He was thinking of the legendary Kinkaku and Ginkaku from Kumogakure—who, after being swallowed by Kurama, ate its flesh and gained access to its chakra.
"I promised Kurama I'd set him free, but… Tailed Beast chakra is too valuable to waste."
Naruto licked his lips, eyes glowing with fervor as he stared at the Two-Tails.
Rather than dodge, he willingly moved to be eaten.
But hearing his words, both Yugito and Matatabi shivered uncontrollably.
They stared at him with utter terror.
What kind of lunatic tries to eat a Bijū!?
Even though they'd gotten close enough to bite, Matatabi instinctively snapped her mouth shut, terrified he might jump in on his own.
Naruto stared at those pristine white fangs eagerly.
"With my strength, I should be able to break her teeth. Wonder if they can grow back...?"
Within the shared consciousness, Matatabi was nearly in panic.
"Yugito, RUN! This lunatic wants to break my teeth! They don't grow back!"
If it weren't for Yugito being in control of the form, Matatabi would have already fled.
If she really lost a tooth, she'd become a joke among the other Tailed Beasts.
"Just hold on a little longer... backup will be here any second now!" Yugito clenched her teeth.
She could only pray that Kumogakure's ninja would spot the commotion and alert the Fourth Raikage and Killer B.
Meanwhile, Naruto stomped forward and used "Soru" and "Geppō" (Shave and Moonwalk) to appear instantly in front of Matatabi's mouth.
Staring at those snowy-white fangs, he took a deep breath and slammed his Busōshoku Haki (Armament Haki)-coated fist straight into them.
BANG!
A crisp crack rang out as fine fractures spread across the sharp fang.
"ROOOAAARRR!!"
Matatabi howled in agony and stumbled backward.
She shrieked in fury,
"I'LL KILL YOU!!! MY TEETH WON'T GROW BACK!!"
Yes—this was definitely Matatabi's voice speaking.
"They don't grow back!?" Naruto froze for a second, then glanced at her damaged fang with regret.
"That's... kind of a shame."
Among the nine Tailed Beasts, the Two-Tails had arguably the highest aesthetics. Naruto had even thought about making her his mount in the One Piece world.
But now, with a broken tooth, even Isobu (Three-Tails) would look better by comparison.
After a moment's thought, Naruto shook his head.
"Forget it. If even the Two-Tails can't beat me, eating her flesh wouldn't help much anyway."
Matatabi sighed in relief.
But Kurama was getting increasingly nervous.
Especially after hearing Naruto mutter:
"If I am going to eat a Tailed Beast… it'll have to be Kurama. Eating him might grant me a portion of that near-infinite chakra nature..."
"And if I let him go afterward, maybe out of gratitude, he wouldn't resist…"
"I wonder what Bijū meat tastes like. If it's good, I could slice some off and grill it alongside Sea King steaks…"
Kurama couldn't take it anymore and snarled:
"Brat! Don't even THINK about eating me! My meat is NOT on the menu!"
Panic and unease churned in his gut.
Naruto's growth was too rapid.
If Kurama really was released, he might not be a match anymore.
And if Naruto took a bite or two, he might not even get a chance to retaliate.
"So stingy!?" Naruto pouted inside his mind.
"Come on, Kurama, show some generosity! Didn't Kinkaku and Ginkaku already eat your flesh?"
"DON'T BRING THOSE BASTARDS UP!!!"
Kurama roared in rage.
"If I ever meet them again, I'll RIP THEM TO SHREDS!"
"How did they even manage to eat your meat?" Naruto asked, eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Kurama snorted, tail lashing like a thundercloud:
"They only survived because they had the power of the Sage of Six Paths in them. Otherwise, eating my flesh would've killed them on the spot."
"The Sage's power, huh..." Naruto murmured.
"I wonder if my body's at that level yet..."
Kurama roared again.
"You damned brat—you really DO want to eat me, don't you!?"
While bickering with Kurama inside his head, Naruto didn't stop moving in reality—he stood atop Matatabi's head and kept pounding away.
At that moment, Kumogakure's ninja finally arrived at the gorge—only to be struck speechless.
They gasped in disbelief at the sight before them:
"That's not a Tailed Beast rampage—it's an intruder! And he's suppressing Lady Nii Yugito!!"
