Riven finally spoke again, his voice steady but pointed. "Enough. Casting blame on her now serves no purpose. She's grieving. Kael is right about that. We'll get answers when she wakes up fully. When she's calmer."
"She's already awake," I said through my teeth.
"Then calmer," Riven corrected firmly.
I shook my head. I hated this. I hated that they were circling her like vultures, weighing her guilt, while she was still sobbing.
But damn it, I understood them too. They weren't wrong. Every clue pointed to something bigger—someone on the inside.
But not her. Not my mate.
Before I could say more, the door creaked open.
An Elder stepped inside, his robes rustling as he bowed low. "Alphas," he said, voice respectful. "Forgive my interruption."
We all turned toward him, and the shift in the room was instant.
"Speak," Riven commanded.
