Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Return, the Mystery of Crossing

"What do you mean 'came back'? Haven't you been here all along?" Both Teachers looked at Senior with confusion.

"N-nothing, it's nothing," Shi Yu said with a dry laugh, his heart extremely unsettled. He looked around and even pinched himself, confirming that this was the place right before his second transmigration, and he wasn't dreaming.

"What exactly is going on?" Shi Yu was in chaos, desperately wishing someone could answer the doubts in his heart.

Why did he go to Ten Thousand Years ago after absorbing a Soul Ring, and why could he come back? Would Shi Yu have another transmigration?

There were too many questions he wanted answers to, but unfortunately, it seemed Shi Yu could only find the answers himself.

"Did absorbing the Soul Ring mess up his brain?" The two Teachers whispered.

Shi Yu stood up, staggering slightly as he walked out. He was very hungry; the previous hunger had carried over to now.

Both Teachers followed Senior. If they messed up a freshman's brain in the Academy, they would be held accountable.

"Take Senior to the infirmary to get him checked," the two Teachers led Shi Yu towards the infirmary.

"I'm fine," Shi Yu refused, but was forcibly taken.

Upon arriving at the infirmary, the school doctor performed various checks. Some were done with instruments, others through Soul Power examination.

This world had medical Soul Guidance Devices, which could perform relatively detailed examinations.

"What number is this?" The school doctor even gave Shi Yu an IQ test because the two Teachers who brought Senior suspected his brain was problematic.

Shi Yu was somewhat speechless, but cooperated, worried about being mistaken for having become mentally disabled.

"Senior is fine, just hungry from a long time. Giving Senior something to eat will fix it," the school doctor said.

"It's good that Senior is fine," the two Teachers also breathed a sigh of relief.

"Kid, go find something to eat yourself, we won't bother with you anymore." Once they confirmed that Shi Yu hadn't messed up his brain from absorbing the Soul Ring, they left.

Shi Yu got down from the examination bed and also planned to leave, wanting to go back and sort things out properly.

"Have you taken any heavenly materials and earthly treasures?" The school doctor was a middle-aged woman, asking based on some of Shi Yu's physical data.

"Why do you ask?" Shi Yu retorted.

"Your body's cell activity is astonishing, even more exaggerated than many Title Douluo. This shouldn't be something you possess at your age and cultivation level," the school doctor Teacher looked at Shi Yu with great surprise.

"I accidentally consumed a Nine-Colored Begonia flower before," Shi Yu said after thinking for a moment.

"Nine-Colored Begonia flower?" The school doctor Teacher became interested and asked about its general appearance.

Shi Yu described it as much as possible, holding nothing back. Shi Yu also really wanted to know what that Nine-Colored Begonia flower was exactly.

"Are you sure your description isn't exaggerated?" The school doctor Teacher seemed to have thought of something, confirming with some surprise.

"Yes," Shi Yu nodded.

"If it's truly as you described, then it might be a Nine Heart Begonia. You've really struck it rich."

"This Nine Heart Begonia is incredibly rare; the probability of encountering a Ten Thousand Year Phoenix is greater than encountering it. I didn't expect you could actually encounter one and even consume it," the school doctor Teacher looked at Shi Yu with a hint of envy.

As expected, it was the Nine Heart Begonia… Shi Yu had already guessed, and now it was confirmed.

"What benefits will consuming this Nine Heart Begonia bring? Are there any drawbacks?" Shi Yu asked specifically.

"Basically no drawbacks. As for the benefits, they are mainly reflected in injury recovery."

"I just said your body's cell activity is astonishing; the most direct manifestation of this is that injuries will heal very quickly after being wounded."

"In addition, you will be very difficult to get sick, and your lifespan will also be a bit longer than ordinary people."

"Can it immunize against toxins?" Shi Yu asked curiously.

"It should be able to immunize against some ordinary toxins, but perhaps not against potent poisons. It's just that even if you are poisoned with such a potent poison, it won't be so easy for you to die."

The school doctor Teacher answered every question and was also very interested in Ji Huaichu's body, hoping Shi Yu could cooperate with her for research.

Shi Yu refused, making a random excuse and leaving. Shi Yu didn't want to be studied as a specimen.

Walking out of the infirmary, his mind was elsewhere, with many questions in his head, wanting to find a place to quietly think.

"Are you alright?" Song Lingzhen happened to arrive and asked about his condition.

Shi Yu's thoughts were interrupted, so he temporarily stopped thinking and shook his head slightly at Song Lingzhen, indicating that he was fine.

"It's good that you're fine. I'll take you to the dormitory now," Song Lingzhen said.

"Thank you, Teacher," Shi Yu said.

Along the way, Song Lingzhen introduced the Shrek Academy campus environment to Shi Yu, and Shi Yu silently took notes.

Approaching the dormitory area, Shi Yu couldn't help but think of the old man Mu En lying at the dormitory entrance.

"Should I go there and build some goodwill?" Shi Yu thought for a moment and decided it was worth building some goodwill anyway; it was just a polite greeting.

As soon as Shi Yu entered the dormitory area, Shi Yu saw someone lying there, leisurely rocking a chair, making a creaking sound.

Shi Yu casually looked at the old man, who happened to open his eyes and see him.

Shi Yu had originally intended to speak and greet him, but at this moment, Shi Yu only smiled and nodded, counting it as a greeting.

Directly saying hello or something felt awkward to Shi Yu, so Shi Yu decided to be more natural and just smile and greet him.

Anyway, Shi Yu should be able to see Mu En, who was pretending to be a normal old man here, often in the future. It wouldn't be too late to greet him after seeing him a few more times.

Mu En didn't respond to Shi Yu, only looking back at him after Shi Yu had passed, a slight glimmer in his cloudy eyes.

"Space Martial Soul?" Mu En muttered in his heart. This was somewhat unexpected for him.

"Your dormitory is 118. Walk this way, and you'll see it about halfway down," arriving at the first-floor corridor, Song Lingzhen pointed and said to Shi Yu.

"Okay," Shi Yu walked over there himself.

Meanwhile, Song Lingzhen left, no longer intending to accompany Shi Yu.

Shi Yu kept looking at the dormitory numbers on both sides, paying special attention to number 108. It seemed that Huo Yuhao lived in that dormitory.

Of course, this was under the premise that Huo Yuhao had entered Shrek Academy.

When passing by number 108, Shi Yu took a couple more glances. The door was closed, and Shi Yu didn't know if it was because no one had moved in yet or what was going on.

Shi Yu didn't linger much longer and found his dormitory, number 118. The door was open, and before even entering, Shi Yu saw two middle-aged men busy inside.

One person was cleaning, and another was making the bed.

"Knock, knock, knock," Shi Yu politely knocked on the door, and both men looked towards him.

"I'm a first-year freshman assigned to this dormitory. May I ask who you are?" Shi Yu inquired.

These two men, judging by their age, were clearly not students. Shi Yu just didn't know if they were hired by the Academy to clean or by his roommate to clean.

"Our young master lives in this dormitory. We are helping him clean and make the bed. He has gone to eat now and should be back after eating," one of them said.

The other person silently busied himself, not paying attention to Shi Yu.
