Evening~
Today, I'm the one staying late.
Yes. Me.
Apparently someone ran their mouth about how I "treat research like a 9-to-5 job."
Wow. Imagine wanting sleep. How criminal.
Anyway—
I quietly talk to a few government officials and slide in a very reasonable idea:
50% of researchers get leave one day, the other 50% next day. Rotation same after week. Fresh minds. Less burnout. Less "let's overthrow the director" energy.
Look at me.
A villain manager with HR instincts.
Do these people deserve kindness?
Absolutely not. These are premium, top-tier bad guys. Straight to hell, no express ticket.
But can I risk rebellion?
Can I risk losing this position I fought tooth and nail for after kicking Mr. Xian out?
Haha. No.
So yes, I smile. I approve schedules. I act like a responsible leader.
While internally whispering, behave… behave… don't make me ruin you all.
Being the boss is exhausting.
Evil organizations really should come with better benefits.
