Now we're standing in front of the Christmas tree section, and wow—everything is tree.
Tall ones, short ones, fluffy ones, skinny ones, some looking proud, some looking like they gave up halfway through life.
Jiang stands there quietly for a moment, hands loosely at his sides, eyes moving from one tree to another like he's judging a forest.
"Yunhua," he says, tilting his head slightly, "there is no big one."
I blink. Then point at a tree that's almost my height—around five feet, full and shiny.
"This?" I tap one of its branches. "This is pretty huge if you want huge."
He looks at it. Then shakes his head slowly.
"No. I mean big. Real one."
There's a half-second of silence.
Then Yuyu bursts out laughing, bending forward a little. Zeyan lets out a low chuckle, covering his mouth with his fist like he's trying to behave.
I turn back to Jiang and give him the look.
"Ha. Ha. Always joking, huh? Silly."
I gesture at the tree again, spreading my hands.
