KROGER'S POV
I woke up, and I was greeted by lien, Moana, and kasio. They knocked on the door, and I let them in.
Lien:" How are you doing, Kroger?"
Kroger:"i am doing well. Thanks for asking."
Moana:" How are your injuries?"
Kroger:"They are better. How are you guys doing."
Kasio:" Our injuries were just miner. We are all good now. All thanks tol you."
We all sat down.
Kroger:" How is anira?"
Moana:" She is still at sleep."
Lien:" Kroger, do you think it is a good idea not to tell anyone about what happened?"
Kroger:" Firstly, we don't have definite proof that the prince did that. And we can't justify our actions to recklessly go in there and trying to save her. You know."
Lien and Moana looked convinced, but kasio seemed like he couldn't fully believe me.
Kasio 's pov
I don't think this is the whole truth. He is definitely hiding something. I can't pinpoint it. His magic seems unchanged. Yet, there is something. Something happened inside the valley. No one has made it out of that valley. How can I believe that a normal demon like Kroger. Who is yet to start the academy is able to miraculously make it out of the valley, not only that he went on to defeat the gaint serpent with just one blow. He was not able to land a hit earlier.
Kroger 's pov
Lien:" Hey, kasio, where are you?"
Kasio:" Oh, nothing, just thinking about something. "
He looked deep into thought before saying that. He appeared to me like he was trying to think what king of the pirates left behind. With a serious look on his face, he turned to me and asked
" Hey, Kroger, how like how were you able to gain so much power and how were you able to survive and get out of that valley. " He stuttered a little, but his voice was firm. Everyone looked at me.
There face turned seriously as they also became eager to know how this weak no body was able to do such a miracle.
I was not expecting him to ask me directly in front of everyone. However, if I was in his position. I might have done the same to know how someone could do that.
"I...I just have that power. It just takes some time for me to, you know.. unlish that power." I managed to say. Although this was not the best excuse, this was the best i could come up with on the spot as even i don't know what really happened down there. The part which I remember, I would like to forget.
Lien:" You are so cool. I know i made the right friends." Laughs.....
Looks like that was all the convincing for him, but for Moana, this seems farfetched as she appeared to be doubtful. Similarly, kasio looked unsatisfied. This answer just confirmed his hunch that there is something more to my power than what meets the eye. They both shared a glance, then looked back at me and then down.
They both are not hundred percent sure, but they kept quit. They may be hasident to ask for much detail as we still just start to know each other.
Moana:" What should we do about the prince and his henchmen?" She asked.
She asked a valid question. We can't justify let him get away with this, but given his political reach. It is not a good idea to go head-on.
" We can't justify confront him as we would need proof to do that, and neither we can take the facility's help for the same reason." I said
This reasoning is valid, and it may convince them to keep this to them self's for the time.
"Not only that, given both of their associations. This could lead to chaos in the tower, but if we did not raise this issue and someone found out about what happened, we could be seen as co-conspiers." Kasio said
He sounded a little unsure and conflicted. Yet, he is right. I didn't think about this. We could be in deep trouble if anyone found out about all this.
" How about we wait for anira to wake up?" I said
She could provide a better understanding of the situation. She could confirm that she was kidnapped and almost lost her life.
"Yeah, anira, i must check on her. See you guys later." Moana left in a hurry after saying that
Now it was us three. There was tension in the room kasio still thinking about what to do. Lien is sitting down with a surprisingly calm and serious look on his face. He said
"With only us three in the room. We can finally talk serious business. Do. You. Guys. Think,
That I have a chance with Moana."
Ughuuuuuuuu
"No, you don't,"
" Why do you think that way, mr kasio. "
" Because you are an idiot."
we laughed. This is his serious business. I have known him for only a couple of days, but I can tell this guy can't be serious at any time.
" I will prove you wrong. Watch me." He ran out following Moana. Now, me and kasio were left. He stood up, walked to the door, turned his head halfway, and, with his gaze, set on me. He said
" I am curious about your power. You know it is quiet uniqe." He left
I know he would have questions, which is why I can't let anyone know about this incident. I don't know about my unique powers as well.
Inside the mind
The same endless room with some liquid up to my knees, but this time, there was something behind the flames. Not something but someone. The same spirit i fought with was there inside my mind with the flames.
I had so many questions. What are these flames? Why the spirit is fought with is here and how I am even alive.
The spirit muttered in an unclear and heavy voice
" You.... are.....in....a...safe.....placee....."
It sounded like the voice was being crushed by something. Then the flames rose and engulfed both of us. I shaped out of it.
" What was that?" i thought.
If the spirit is inside me, then I am a big threat to myself. I can't let anyone know about it. What should I do?
I the mean time. I heard a knock on the door. I opened it, and it was our warden.
" Hello, mr Kroger, hope you are having a lovely day."
" Lovely, exact opposite. " I thought
"I am here because our principal has summoned you to his office."
" his office, did I do something wrong. "
" No need to worry. He just wants to chat with you a little. "
" please get ready, I will show you the way."
" there is something wrong i can sence it. Did we got caught seeking out. If that's the case then we have to tell everything and an investigation could start."
Anyway, I started getting dressed up.
