Honestly, if Kaneki think about this, then both of these possibilities are equally possible, which is why he can't decide
But if the first possibility is true then he thinks it would be better to prepare for that since he might keep them safe from getting infected by zombies but he can't do anything against the virus spread in the air
He knows he needs to prepare an anti-viral but easier said than done since there are many steps for that and not only does he need a lab filled with equipment but also there is no guarantee he will succeed
But he would never know until he tries this himself, still, there is no place to conduct research nor does he think of any place at all
Not to mention even if he tries now to get the location of some laboratory still he thinks it's worthless due to the fact that he is sure those places were filled with zombies too
"Zombies can turn other humans into zombies with a bite" said hoping she has a solution to this since there are only a few things she knows about this
One is that if the infected area is the arm or legs then the infection needs to reach the brain in order to convert a human into a zombie
If Kaneki is not wrong then surely you can prevent that by cutting off that infected part but its only possible if that part is the arms or legs otherwise its useless
Of course there is another solution which is only temporary solution and that is to tightly wrap that part with cloth or a rope in order to slow down the infection but it will also slow down the blood circulation
"Will I become like that?..." She asked this in a surprised tone like she didnt know about this since she always thought of zombies as failed experiments
But if thats the truth, then she's glad she didnt let any of them get close to her and it was solely due to the reason she find them disgusting
"Do they have some kind of poison?" Iris asked this with curiosity since she dont know concept of viruses and bacteria;;she could only assume that they release a poison
"Yeah something like that" Kaneki replied to her since poison and viruses are kind of similar and explaining like this is easier
"I see" she said as she went thinking as she began to think of countermeasures to this since no one can see the future
'I think I can handle it if only I were at my peak strength but now this is impossible' She said in her mind since unlike back at her home
Her body isn't strong at all in fact it is very weak. She knows this and she managed this and moreover thinking that Mana in the air is becoming strong is not an easy task
She knows it's better to have countermeasures if she managed to get bite from zombie since her body can't protect her at all
"Is there any cure for that in case one person gets poisoned?" She asked this question to Kaneki since she wanna prepared for any worst scenario
"Not at this moment" Kaneki replied to her since in fact there is a cure at the moment and he also dont wanna give a fake statement about making a cure when he dont know what kind of virus this is
He knew his blood might be the answer but he needed to know more to come to any conclusion at all, since there are many unseen accidents that might occur which is why he wanna test this first
But for that is to later till he found a lab where he could conduct the research to make a cure until then he just needed to protect them all and escape
He suddenly looked at her as he couldn't help but feel curious, since he didn't expect to have such a normal conversation
'She is not that mental but she is just freaked out for battle as well as some other moments other than that she is not that hard to talk with' he said this in his mind as his opinion of her rose in his head
'She will be useful if her intentions aren't bad' Kaneki said this in his mind as he thought that if her intentions aren't harmful then surely she will be useful to them but there are still doubts in his mind
To be honest, he wouldn't trust such a person in a day but after that contract, most of his doubts are gone right now
Even though it is the first time he is hearing about just a fantasy thing but he could feel it, the contract is a real deal which is why most of his doubts are gone
Still there are small doubts in his mind which is why he prefers to get more information about her to know her better
"Do you just hijack that body or have an agreement?" Kaneki asked this question as this is one of the things he is curious about due to the fact that he basically has no knowledge about things like souls
He couldn't help but feel curious about this after all he is someone who craves knowledge but if he has to guess then he would say she dominates the soul due to the fact that she can stay this way forever
"You are curious about me?~ I can tell you if you promise to inspect your body" she said this as she made a counteroffer while her face leaked with madness
Kaneki just looked at her with disappointed eyes like she is some kind of garbage on the ground
" i will tell you! Dont look at me like that" she said this as she immediately noticed the look in Kaneki's eyes and went to answer her question
She took a deep breath before explaining since she feels he gonna ask more questions since she knew this information couldn't be understood by anyone
