On the night when Manchester City won 3-0 away at Sunderland, head coach Pellegrini announced some news on the flight back to Manchester.
"Guys, from last Sunday to this Sunday, within one whole week, we've played three matches, and everyone has worked hard. I'm announcing that tomorrow is a day off, no training!"
The cabin erupted in applause.
"Long live the coach!"
"Haha, finally we can have a day off!"
"I'm exhausted, my calves almost cramped during today's match!"
Amidst the players' cheers, Pellegrini reminded them:
"Even though it's a day off, keep a low profile. If I see any pictures of you at bars or nightclubs in The Sun, you'll be on the bench for the next match!"
Late at night, back at home, Toure dragged his weary body to bed, and fell asleep immediately.
He was just too tired!
32-year-old Toure, since the start of the season, has played nearly every 90-minute match, earning full attendance.
