Seth's POV
I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Not even if I tried.
The stage lights washed over Chloe as she moved down the runway with a confidence I knew didn't come naturally to her. Every turn she made was sharp. Elegant. Controlled. The audience of coordinators, designers, and technical crew watched her as if she belonged there.
Like she had always belonged there.
But I knew better.
I knew the nervous girl beneath all that perfection.
The girl who still practiced walking alone in her room when nobody was watching.
The girl who bit the inside of her cheek whenever she got anxious.
The girl carrying a secret heavy enough to destroy her entire world if it ever got out.
And somehow…
Knowing all of that only made me love her more.
I stood near the lighting booth with my hands shoved into my pockets, watching her like my entire body had forgotten how to function properly.
Her red hair flowed behind her as she walked. For a second I wondered what the real Chloe was like.
