Claude looked up at the lunar eclipse, which made the night darker than normal. Just as the red shine achieved its brightest and the moon its fullest, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Claude looked down and checked his screen. On their group chat, reports were flooding in about students skipping the lunar eclipse viewing. He frowned. "They shouldn't have bothered to lock everyone in the school."
Irving saw his actions and then checked his phone. He brought it down. "The moon is really scary tonight. It's like the moon is bleeding. Claude, is the Moon Goddess crying for Eugene?"
"Hopefully not." Claude locked his phone and watched the ritual proceed.
