"Thorne?"
Adina's hand froze on the half-pulled zipper, eyes wide with shock. "Y- What are you doing here?" she asked. She had his schedule memorized in her head, and none of them included a break to see her. The car of the missing people had taken up most of his time, and after their one-month journey to the three packs and seeing just how rotten their economies were, he had taken another move to be more involved in each pack than he was before.
Thus…his unavailability.
"I came to see you," he said, eyes on the dress she had on. Not once did he look her in the eye.
"You—But I checked, and you don't have any break, and you—"
Thorne looked her in the eye. "I wanted to see you, Adina. I don't care if I had any breaks or not. I wanted to see you, so I came… to see you."
