Chapter 13 - 13

Stacy's POV

After limping out of his room, I headed straight to my room with great pain and hatred in my heart. When I got to my room, then, I undressed again and walked into the bathroom.

I can still feel the pain in my pelvis as I walk. Not minding the chilly hours, I stayed under the cold shower and wept as I remembered every bit of how he molested me till I blanked out.

"He's really heartless!" I said it out loud to no one in particular as I burst out in uncontrollable tears.

After staying under the cold shower for what seemed like forever, I finally took one of the available black towels to dry my body and tied the other around me. I dragged my feet to the room and lied down in bed.

I don't even have the strength to dress up in my pyjamas. I covered myself with a thin blanket, and the thoughts of what happened in his room kept flashing in my head.

The weather here has not also, for once, helped the situation. My whole system keeps shaking due to the cold. Not just the cold, but the thoughts of what he did to me are really perturbing and scary.

"I'll know if he actually turned me by tomorrow," I thought while still shaking and allowed nature to take over.

"Stacy, Stacy." I could hear a familiar voice calling my name while knocking on the door.

I keep shaking and turning in bed. I thought I was dreaming, but I found out it was reality when I felt a cold hand touch my forehead. I slowly opened my eyes and found out it's Mrs. Lauretha.

"It's already morning," she said, staring at me with pitiful eyes.

"It seems you've caught a fever; your temperature is so high, and you're looking so pale right now. Let me go ask Kaiden to render you a doctor," she said as she made to leave.

I gathered up the strength left in me and grabbed her hand, shaking my head sideways.

She saw I was just in a towel; she stopped and made out to take my pyjamas and helped me with it.

"You should put on something long, dear; I'll go talk to Kaiden now," she said, ignoring the fact that I didn't want her to.

I sighed and lay back in bed.

My eyes were still slightly closed in bed, but not until I saw the door flagged open. I see Mrs. Lauretha and a strange man in a lab coat coming in.

He should be the doctor, I thought in mind and directed my focus somewhere else. But why the hell would he render me a doctor when he actually made me like this? I thought in great anger.

I was still fuming in bed until I heard him say, "Woah! She's a blonde," to no one in particular.

I stopped fuming and looked at him. He's really tall, just like the heartless devil. The thought of him increased my hatred for him. He also has a pair of gray eyes, just like the guard.

All of a sudden, he brought his face down to my face in bed and whispered, "We could create a spark, you know?" and then drifted away, standing upright, smirking at me.

On a normal basis, I would have smirked back, but I just kept quiet and closed my eyes. Then I heard him laugh slightly.

"I'll go prepare something for you," said Mrs. Lauretha.

I opened my eyes and nodded in her direction.

"Take good care of her, Alex," she said, reaching for the door.

He only nodded in response to her.

"Now let's see what's up with you, blonde," said Alex.

My eyes widened upon hearing him call me that. He noticed this and furrowed his brows.

"Get that blanket off," he demanded, a little bit harsh.

I slowly tossed it off me as he requested. He sat beside me in bed, checked my pulse, and stretched out his hand to my forehead.

When he was done with the checkup, he stood up and told me he'd be back with the medicinal herb later, and then vanished without even waiting for my response. If I'm not new to this, an ordinary human like me would have collapsed upon seeing it. I turned to the other side of the bed and waited for Mrs. Lauretha to show up.

I was dozing off on the wait when I heard someone open the door. I turned towards the door and saw Mrs. Lauretha; she came in with a tray of food in her hands.

She approached me and dropped the food on the bed while she helped me up. It's sardine bread and hot tea. She sure knows what suits a sick person, I thought.

I forcefully finished a slice of bread and drank up the whole cup of tea. She watched me till I was done eating. She rose from the bed to take the plates out when I was done.

Not too long after she left, Alex opened the door and walked in instead of vanishing this time around. He came close to me and prepared the herb in a medicinal dish, then handed it over to me. I drank it all at once, and he looked amazed.

"Good blonde," he commended.

"Call me Stacy, please," I corrected.

"I have no problem with that Stace," he replied.

"You sure do," I muttered slowly.

"I heard that," he said, standing up.

Then suddenly, I remembered last night. I asked him if I was turned. He looked confused but still replied with "no".

"Please don't come treat me again," I said to him, staring into his eyes

"You don't get to decide, blonde!" He said that and vanished.

Why does he keep on calling me "blonde" like him? Talking of him, I haven't seen him today, and I wish I wouldn't get to see him forever, but I know this can only be an imagination.

The herb is really working. I'm now getting better; I'm not shaking anymore, just a slight headache. I don't know if the pain down there has already disappeared. I told him not to come treat me again because it would be in Kaiden's favour, not mine, but I guess I don't have a choice.

"Why does he sound like Kaiden most times?" I thought. I guess I just have to fight for myself and make sure he doesn't molest me again. It's high time I got back to my old self. I wasn't born to be timid. Not even under a vampire lord! I said it aloud, stamping on the floor.

I won't fear him. I was about to complete the words when I heard a heavy knock on the door. My eyes widened, and I quickly kept my mouth shut, taking my lips in. What if it's him? I thought as my chest kept on rising and falling. No, it can't be him; he doesn't knock. I thought, calmed down a bit, and then went for the door.

Upon standing up, I realized the pain down there was finally gone. I opened the door, and I was sad to see the guard. Oh no! I don't want to see him. I thought in my head as the last incident kept flashing through my head, giving me a serious headache.

I unconsciously squatted and held my head with my two hands as the fear and headache kept on striking hard.

Then suddenly out of nowhere, I felt two hands on my hands. I looked up to see whose hands it was, I found out it's the guard's.

"What!? The guard's!?" I wondered, confused.

"Hey," he abruptly said calmly, as his face twisted into a concerned one.

Unsure of how to react to his unbelievable kind gesture, I just stood in front of him , dumbfounded.

"Be calm, dolly; I've actually come to cheer you up." He uttered, his words making furrow my brows at him.

Not until he helped me up, I thought it was all a joke.

"Call me Jimmy," he said, stretching forth his hands for a handshake.

"I'm Stacy," I said simply, ignoring his stretched out hand.

" I can see you're still finding it unbelievable. It's okay though." He said, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him.

"Do you wish to take a walk?" He asked, directing his hands in the direction of the corridor.

"A walk?" I asked, surprised.

"Yeah," he responded.

"Can I?" I asked in amusement.

"Of course, Dolly," he said, and let out a smile no one would have thought suited him that much.

"I'd like to, but what if..."

"Trust me, you're free to do this. Besides, he's not around." He stated, cutting me off before I could complete my words.

"Really? But what if he comes back and..."

"You can always take a walk now, whether he's around or not; Daisy made sure of that for you." He said, not allowing me to finish my sentence.

"Wow! Are you for real?" Is Daisy around now?" I asked, overwhelmed with joy.

"No," he replied.

I can't wait to see her and thank her. No thanks to you though," I said, rolling my eyes at him.

"You're welcome, Dolly," he replied, smiling.

"Stacy, okay?" I corrected him, and rolled my eyes at him again.

"Com'on, let's go, Dolly," he replied, stretching his hand out to me.

"You don't take corrections, huh? You should follow me."

I stated clearly, and left him behind to follow suit.

"You don't even know your way around here." He said sarcastically, and caught up with me.
