In a daze, Rowena seemed to catch a glimpse of a towering figure fleeting among the stars. He paused, glanced at her, then disappeared without a trace.
...
"Hiss—! Ethan, could you be a little gentler, please!"
In the Imperial Capital Mansion, Rowena shouted, seemingly unconcerned that someone might report her for disturbing the peace in the middle of the night.
Now she was no longer the chosen of Sincaro and showed no signs of having recently defeated the so-called heir of Kadela. Her head was wrapped in bandages, her eyebrows were furrowed, and several tears had squeezed out of the corners of her eyes.
"What's the big fuss over a little wound?"
Ethan wiped away her tears and leaned in to observe Rowena, "Are you really crying?"
To be honest, when Rowena returned to the mansion covered in blood, she did have a bit of a Valkyrie aura. However, it didn't last three seconds. The moment she saw someone who cared about her approach, she burst into tears, "Ethan, I'm dying!"
