Chapter 14 - Chapter 6, Reinforcements_3

A large axe swept across, forcing him to raise his shield to block, resulting in the shield shattering into two halves. The mercenary screamed as he was sent flying several meters before landing on the ground.

"My hand is broken, my hand is broken! Help me, someone help me!" The mercenary's left hand was severely deformed as he lay on his back on the ground, continuously retreating, while the Beastman Leader approached with a grim smile.

Just as it was about to take the mercenary's head, the Beastman Leader instinctively sensed danger and raised its axe to block.

"Ice Arrow!" a delicate shout rang out.

The Beastman Leader was frozen in place.

Unfortunately, it was frozen for only two seconds before it roared in anger, shattering the ice on its body. It pinned down the struggling mercenary, its axe sweeping across, and a bloody human head was lifted high in the air.

It looked at the female spellcaster, who was surrounded by mercenaries with a changeable expression, pointed at her, and called out to the beast horde, "Woman... warlock... eliminate!"

"You froze me... I want your life!" The heart of the mercenary was directly ripped out from his chest by the Beastman Leader, still faintly pulsating. The Beastman Leader bit off half of the heart in one go, warm blood splattering across its face. Chewing contentedly, the scene was chilling to behold.

"Roar roar roar roar!!!" After saying that, the Beastman Leader's howls echoed throughout the forest, shaking loose the accumulated snow. The Inferior Horned Beasts that were fleeing heard their leader's call, turned around, and rejoined the battle, causing the mercenaries to retreat in disarray.

At this moment, three or four dozen Horned Beasts had appeared before the Mercenary Corps, and Boris's face was ashen: "Lady Trovik, please step aside, I will hold off these beastmen."

"We won't get far; the forest is full of beastmen!" The beautiful female sorcerer gripped her magic staff tightly and raised her hand to cast a Mind Shock. A black mana aura spread across the battlefield, making all the Horned Beasts and Inferior Horned Beasts feel a stabbing pain in their heads, as if their thoughts were pricked by needles. The Beastman's assault was slightly alleviated, but several mercenaries had already fallen tragically to the beastmen's axes. Seeing this, Boris roared angrily and joined the fray, the Mercenary Leader wielding a large axe, reaping the lives of several Inferior Horned Beasts as soon as he entered the battlefield.

The Mercenary Leader's performance naturally caught the attention of the Beastman Leader: "You... fight me!"

Boris gripped the fine iron battleaxe in his hands, walking forward step by step, the swirling snow blowing onto his golden long hair and thick beard. As the leader of the Mercenary Corps, he had to meet the Beastman Leader's challenge, as it was the only way to find a ray of hope.

The beastmen were incredibly powerful, but these creatures in their survival of the fittest world had a weakness: the victor becomes king. As long as the leader was killed, the morale of the Beastman army would collapse instantly.

"Huff~ huff~ huff~~ ah! Kill... the man, then kill... the woman!" The Beastman Leader hacked in half the Razor Beast standing in its way, then motioned for the obstructing Horned Beasts to get out of the way. The Beastman Warband saw this and cleared a path.

"Boom~ boom~ boom~" The Beastman Leader charged straight ahead, and the Mercenary Leader stepped forward, the heavy leather boots thudding on the snowy ground.

The distance grew closer.

The crude axe in the Beastman's hands was stained with fresh blood, while the fine steel battleaxe in Boris's hands gleamed with a silvery white light.

Closer, even closer!

"Ahhhh!" Boris swung his battleaxe with all his might.

"Boom!" The axe blades clashed with a metallic clang that resounded across the battlefield.
