Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Corpse-Driving Skill

In the darkness, Madam Lolian quickly crawled to the base of a large tree in the yard, and her hands frantically began digging up the soil.

It seemed that there was something beneath that possessed a strong allure for her.

Originally filming secretly, Ron suddenly found himself able to only capture Madam Lolian's back, losing the most valuable front perspective.

Desperate to gain fame by shooting a bizarre documentary, he quickly became anxious and immediately got up from his hiding spot, carefully approaching Madam Lolian with his camera.

"Be careful, Ron." A companion couldn't help but remind him with concern.

Madam Lolian's actions were downright eerie at the moment, making him feel horribly shocked, even giving rise to the urge to leave the place as soon as possible.

Madam Lolian, immersed in digging, suddenly halted her actions.

Through the camera lens, her neck slowly turned 180 degrees, her pair of ghastly pale, muddied pupils coldly staring at Ron, a surprise visitor.

She even let out a serpent's hiss that was inhuman.

"Hiss hiss hiss!"

...

"Ah!!"

A scream pierced through the night sky, suddenly changing Sun Yan's expression while he was playing on his phone in the car, and he hurriedly got out and ran towards the villa's yard.

For better surveillance over Madam Lolian, he had parked the car outside Tina's home during the day, making it easier to act. He didn't expect the incident would happen so quickly.

As Sun Yan rushed into the yard, he immediately saw Madam Lolian pressing down on Ron, like a wild beast, crazily gnawing at his face.

In just a short time, Ron's face had been half bitten off by Madam Lolian, with flesh and blood horribly mangled.

"Save me, please save me!"

Clearly a young man in his twenties, yet unable to push off an elderly woman in her eighties, fear and pain caused Ron to let out a heart-wrenching scream.

Sun Yan quickly ran forward, pulled out a Ghost Torturing Stick from his pocket, and struck it directly on Madam Lolian's back.

Sizzling!

Immediately, a mass of black smoke floated from Madam Lolian's body, she let out an angry roar, then closed her eyes and fainted on the spot.

At this point, Ron's friends dared to come closer with courage, pushing the fainted Madam Lolian aside and helping Ron up, anxiously asking: "Are you okay?"

"The injuries are too severe, quickly get him to the hospital."

"Saint Anna City is too far from Gospel Town, better go to the town's clinic to stop the bleeding, otherwise, I'm afraid Ron will suffer excessive blood loss on the way."

After all, these people were medical students and quite professional in saving lives, so they immediately supported Ron, preparing to head to Gospel Town's clinic for treatment.

The commotion caused by Ron lasted just a dozen seconds, and lights in the villa flickered on.

Seeing Tina in her nightgown hurriedly rushing out from inside, seeing Ron's horrific state and her unconscious mother on the ground, she was somewhat incredulous.

Sun Yan put away the Ghost Torturing Stick and said: "Better help your mother back to her room, she's okay."

With the stick strike, the Evil Spirit attached to Madam Lolian previously was now nowhere to be found.

Faced against Sun Yan's magical artifact, Evil Spirits left solely with the soul weren't up to much, meeting a fate of being scattered.

After Tina helped Madam Lolian back to the villa, Sun Yan walked alone to the large tree in the yard.

Near the roots, a freshly dug hollow attracted Sun Yan's attention.

"Even so gravely ill, Madam Lolian goes out every night, is there some secret hidden in this yard?"'

Sun Yan thought deeply with a frown, spending time gazing at the shovel placed against the wall not far away, and went over to retrieve it, rolling up his sleeves to continue digging down along the hollow.

The hollow was gradually made larger and deeper by Sun Yan.

Soon, something wrapped in burlap appeared before Sun Yan's eyes.

"General Sun bless, True Monarch of Pure Origin and Mysterious Dao bless, taboo-free."

Sun Yan muttered a few prayers, reaching in to pull the object out with force, loose soil falling constantly, and after this thing was completely excavated, Sun Yan was finally able to see its full form.

The burlap was about adult size and quite heavy, after being buried underground for so long, its surface shattered revealing large patches, faintly revealing a man inside.

His body was covered with snake skin-like scales, exuding a blend of moist soil mixed with the stench of decay.

"Looks like this is it." Sun Yan rejoiced.

If it hadn't been for tonight's stakeout here, trying to find this unique corpse in such a large yard would have been virtually impossible.

Now all that's needed is to bring the corpse back to the graveyard for burial, successfully completing the task.

Moving the burlap along with the corpse to the back of the pickup truck, Sun Yan returned to the villa and just encountered Tina coming out.

"Jack, what is the situation with my Mom now, before she only ran outside, but tonight she started hurting people, I'm worried that if this continues, things will get increasingly worse." Tina asked Sun Yan with concern.

"Don't worry, regarding Madam Lolian's situation, I've already thought of a way to handle it, tomorrow you take her to the graveyard, I will completely exorcise the Evil Spirit from her."

Though Madam Lolian no longer had the Evil Spirit on her, relying solely on Sun Yan's word, Tina was surely skeptical.

A formal ritual is necessary to persuade her that Sun Yan performed a legitimate exorcism for her mother.

Just like a regular chef selling a boiled egg for 5 Yuan and customers feeling exploited.

Whereas a Michelin chef cuts an egg into four pieces, sprinkles salt and pepper on top, and uses tomato art for garnish - selling it for 200 Yuan would seem reasonable to some.

Tina excitedly said: "Really? That's great, thank you so much."

...

Driving back to the graveyard, Sun Yan moved the burlap from the pickup truck.

The already decayed burlap couldn't withstand such handling and split open on the spot, revealing inside the corpse covered entirely with snake scales.

This was Sun Yan's first time seeing the corpse in its entirety, his eyes instantly displaying a few moments of surprise.

The corpse's legs had completely fused together, no sign of a leg gap could be seen.

Its nasal bone had degenerated into the brain, the entire head displayed traits similar to a snake's triangular shape, hands and feet bizarrely losing the presence of fingers.

If the skeleton and appearance of this corpse still held somewhat human appearances, Sun Yan would indeed think it was a mutated serpent.

Although the look was bizarre, it suited the description of being special in the routine task.

"Corpse-Driving Skill."

Sun Yan silently muttered, immediately a golden rope floated from the corpse, upon gripping it, the corpse directly stood up stiffly from the ground.

"Jump." Once Sun Yan's words fell, the corpse rigidly leaped forward a step.

When Sun Yan released the golden rope, the corpse suddenly lost its support like a bamboo pole, collapsing to the ground.
