Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Void Apocalypse

"Because it's forbidden for other races to dock at the port, I stayed on the ship, but that's when the problem happened." Bobo sighed as he spoke.

"A group of Sharp-eared Rat People somehow sneaked aboard the ship, the same ones you eliminated this morning.

They kidnapped me when they sneaked off the ship at night."

"Why did they kidnap you?" Kana asked curiously.

It was clear the Sharp-eared Rat People were originally fleeing in distress, so kidnapping a Round-eared Ratman didn't seem beneficial to them.

Upon hearing this question, Bobo's expression became slightly disgusted and a bit embarrassed.

Although seeing such rich expressions on a mouse is strange, Kana seemed to understand.

"Alright, I see, you can continue."

The issue was easy to guess; you can't determine a Ratman's gender by appearance, but their voices are easily distinguished.

The difference between male and female voices is obvious.

He just realized that amongst those rats cleaned up in the morning, none were female.

Yet to establish a nest, both genders are required.

Sharp-eared Rat People are evil; most females in the race are clearly used for breeding, essential assets to a nest.

Fleeing Rat People lack a bit when establishing a nest. Hence, a Round-eared female Ratman serves as a feasible alternative.

Bobo could now confirm, Kana indeed understands the Ratman race.

His expression turned somewhat like a survival after disaster.

Thinking of his miserable life if he hadn't been rescued, he couldn't help but express gratitude again.

"Thank you all, if you had arrived later, after they established the nest, I'd have been in big trouble."

The nest wasn't established; without ensuring surrounding safety, even Sharp-eared Rat People wouldn't casually breed offspring.

Especially when they aim to establish a new Rat Nest.

Bobo continued: "Then, we went all the way to that forest. After confirming there's a small town across the river, they decided to build a nest there."

"Is the world outside safe?" Alyris couldn't help asking.

Aside from the leader being somewhat capable, the rest of the rats were weak, seemingly so to Alyris.

Bobo, having no resistance at all, dared travel worldwide alone, recording local customs and history, seems too bold.

This made Alyris think the world outside might be very safe, given even in this country, walking in the wilderness, one could be attacked by beasts or bandits.

Upon hearing this, Bobo shook his head repeatedly: "How could it be? Why would you think that, outside is very dangerous.

I feel it's less safe than your country, but your country's safety has a reason."

Our country's safety? Alyris couldn't help but show confusion, scratching his head.

If our country is safe, how dangerous must the outside be?

Alyris' perception of the vast world outside altered slightly.

After speaking, Bobo realized Alyris' implication, quickly stating: "I'm not weak, just, it's just your place is too barren."

Saying this, Bobo sighed, his words lacking some persuasion.

"I too know some Magic, but your country's Magic Power is too barren, the flow of Magic is negligible, I've never encountered such a situation, can't even perform a little Trick." His words carried a hint of complaint.

"Magic? Like in books?" Alyris immediately showed interest; she had never seen Magic.

"Quickly perform some, I've never seen it."

Bobo's face turned red, was her previous statement hard to understand? It's precisely because he couldn't perform Magic that he was caught.

Kana shook his head amusedly: "Alright, let's talk about other things first."

Bobo visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

Just then, a shout came from outside.

"Your Highness!"

The voice belonged to Blake.

Kana heard the voice and stood up to head outside, just in time to see Blake approaching.

At that moment, Blake's eyes revealed confusion and hesitation.

"Come in."

Kana didn't question him, simply invited him inside.

Blake glanced at the two people and one mouse in the hall.

After pausing, he asked: "Before, what happened to that mouse? My head is still dizzy, occasionally seeing purple beams and splotches at the edge of my vision."

His expression was a bit unpleasant, such signs made him think he might be poisoned or something.

Anyway, no matter what, it didn't seem like a good thing.

In this situation, Kana, who left a deep impression, was the only one he could turn to for help.

After all, Kana seemed somewhat familiar with that kind of purple light.

Kana glanced at Blake, then at the curious Alyris, while Bobo was also thoughtful.

They were all witnesses to how a dying rat was transformed by that purple light, suddenly becoming fierce.

The impact of that purple light, they had felt personally.

"That's the Void."

"Void?" Bobo was puzzled; though a scholar, having traveled many places and countries, she had never heard of such a term.

"Exactly, Void."

"Do you know the specific structure of this world? Understand the entire world?" Kana asked.

But clearly, he was asking Bobo.

Bobo nodded: "I have understood a bit."

In the game, this world wasn't designed as a planet but a world with a celestial round square.

The world has defined boundaries, a fog-enclosed ring.

This fog serves as the world's protective layer; the sky connects not to the fog but the Star Realm.

The Star Realm can be understood as the universe.

"Void is a life form outside the world. They act like scavengers of the entire Star Realm, specialized in clearing worlds.

The worlds on their path of advance are invaded and swept by them.

Few worlds survive during their cleansing, even if survived, they leave it a ravaged land."

Kana spoke of the later plot's Introduction to the existence of "Void."

"Our world encountering the Void can basically confirm that our world is on the Void's path of advance, we will be among those swept away.

It means this could be seen as an apocalyptic prophecy."

Kana, without restraint, made a bold statement.

Honestly, he was a bit surprised; he never imagined the rat was actually influenced by the Void.

"Void Invasion" Version 4.0's main storyline.

Also, it's a phase where the entire game narrative climaxes.

It's a sword always hovering above Kana's head.

While playing the game, one would only see this as an important version.

But if it becomes reality, it's the foreseeable apocalypse.

Now, he became part of this world, unable to leave.

He must find a way to resolve this apocalyptic crisis, or he'll perish with it; having barely regained life, he arrived in this world.

He doesn't want to die with this world.

"Apocalypse?" Alyris was a bit puzzled.

Perhaps it was due to Kana's statement being slightly exaggerated, Alyris and Blake didn't panic, more so expressing confusion.

As for Bobo, she didn't believe it at all.

"Yes, apocalypse."
