"From now on, don't do such foolish things again." Ye Fan said earnestly, implicitly referring to the confrontation just now.
"Aren't you foolish too?" Fire Phoenix happily retorted.
"I had no choice, didn't I?" Ye Fan said indifferently.
"Do you think I had a choice?" Fire Phoenix said bitterly.
Neither of them had a way out, and they both had unavoidable reasons to take such extreme actions.
"You could have persuaded me, but you didn't." Fire Phoenix said sourly, "If you had told me about your childhood experiences, or reminded me that I went through the same thing as you, with my family perishing at the hands of the God Organization and becoming an orphan and a part of them, I would have listened to you and not taken out the gun."
"But you didn't do that; you were afraid that if I changed, I'd follow you stubbornly, cling to you, so you went along with my plan, thinking that dying under my gun would somehow make up for what you owed me in your heart."
