The whereabouts of Kasam were Farhadi's primary concern. If this matter was not thoroughly resolved, the consequences would be endless.
They searched all possible hiding places for Kasam but couldn't find where he went, which made Farhadi panic. After all, he was the biggest warlord in Ba Country, and although Farhadi had taken Kasam's chair, it was better to be safe than sorry. It was hard to say how many of Kasam's followers would accept him, and such a large operation could go wrong without Kasam.
"We've searched everywhere, but there's no trace of Kasam." Lani reported reluctantly.
"How could that be? Can Kasam have escaped? He must be hiding somewhere. Keep looking for him." Farhadi barked, showing no intention of giving up, and then he turned to a broad-foreheaded man and asked, "Where is he? Didn't you assure me that Kasam was here? Where did he go?"
The broad-foreheaded man was someone close to Kasam, but his true identity was that of a spy.
