Suddenly, Triss curiously asked amidst Lann's silence.
"If at that time, I was in so much pain that only sleeping with you could slightly alleviate that dying feeling, would you have accepted me with my whole body covered in burns?"
I would have given you some highly effective anesthetics, the kind mixed on the spot.
Lann silently thought to himself, as Mentos playfully listed out many different anesthetic formulas he had developed before.
But the biochemical brain was quickly suppressed by Lann.
Lann was no longer the inexperienced novice he once was; he could clearly sense that the atmosphere between Triss and him today was different.
This wasn't the warm, slow pace they used to have. Instead, it seemed like... an eager fire ready to blaze.
"You've had a bit too much to drink, Triss. This wine may be sweet, but it's strong and not suitable for you."
Lann tactfully avoided the question.
