The Mayor of Palermo walked onto the stage amidst applause; today was the opening ceremony after the reconstruction of the Original Sin City. Although most of it retained its original trajectory, the upgraded decor added a touch of elegance. Even though only part of the work was completed and many areas still needed reconstruction, it didn't affect its opening.
The Mayor held a wooden mallet in his hand, symbolizing the commencement of the ceremony similar to a decisive hammer strike. When he and the owner of Sin City simultaneously struck the mallets, the bulldozers behind began to knock down the enclosing wall, signifying the complete end of Sin City from this moment.
