Not mentioning how the Evil God Sect intends to act, the mysterious figure has already transported the captured half-broken statue back to the Alchemist Association.
It's not that she didn't want to take the statue to the Witch Workshop, but rather that the Witch Workshop wasn't equipped to handle such a bounty.
