Bologue walked toward Ewen, his words like the judge pronouncing a guilty verdict.
"You claim your pursuit is just to seek inspiration. I can see that in your works; indeed, they bear many shadows of the Extraordinary World.
But is it really so? With no fear of death's threat, spending so many years just to find some writing inspiration?"
Unlike Palmer, Bologue was never Ewen's fanatical admirer. From the beginning, Bologue had observed Ewen through the most rational and cold lens, and under Bologue's surveillance, Ewen finally showed a trace of unease.
"Of course."
Ewen was not intimidated by Bologue. He pondered how to escape, the time to board the train drawing nearer; he couldn't afford to be delayed by Bologue.
"You've checked me. I'm just an ordinary person—a purely ordinary person."
After speaking, Ewen didn't forget to retaliate, "Do you always do this? Like to gauge others from the basest perspective."
