On the island, atop the mountain that continuously spewed thick smoke from the volcano, there was a massive cave. Inside this cave, dozens of stones of varying sizes were haphazardly placed. In the very center stood the largest stone, smooth and glossy, upon which sat a person cross-legged.
This person had a weathered face, with a scraggly beard and tattered clothes—none other than the beggar who had once fought Wang Yan.
Surrounding the beggar were hundreds of people dressed similarly in rags.
Closest to the beggar was a young man around 20 years old. He was tall and thin, with a narrow waist and long legs, his body bent like a large prawn in his oversized, shabby clothes. Particularly striking were his eyes, which flickered back and forth, marking him as someone deeply scheming and sly.
