Chapter 206 - Chapter 206: Crisis x Action

"Boom!!!"

With a massive crash, the giant tail slammed onto the destroyer, and the second destroyer exploded.

"Whoosh buzz~!!"

Beneath the sea surface, the monster roared in excitement, swimming towards the last remaining destroyer. As the unknown monster swiftly swam towards the last destroyer, the torpedo tubes at the bottom of the third destroyer opened, and a torpedo launched towards it.

However, the monster beneath the sea seemed to recognize this object that had previously caused it trouble. Its massive head turned to the right, and the torpedo "boomed" as it hit its abdomen. In pain, the monster dived into the deep sea, its trace completely gone.

"Is it over?" Sergio and Cervantes clung tightly to the ship's rail, their bodies soaked in seawater, clothes clinging to them.

"I don't know." Cervantes wasn't sure of the reason, he only saw a flash of light in the sea that quickly disappeared, and then there was no sound beneath the surface. The monster was no longer attacking.

"Cervantes, what happened?" At this moment, Beyond and a group of hunters from his team ran out of the cabin onto the deck and asked, "What's the situation?"

"See for yourselves." Cervantes himself wasn't clear on the situation and didn't know how to explain, so he simply let them see for themselves.

"This, this is..." Beyond and his group looked at the towering sea of fire behind them, and the wreckage of two silently sinking destroyers, their faces filled with shock. "Was this a military strike?"

"Not a military strike, some kind of monster attacked the fleet." Sergio's face was grim. He had seen it clearly just now; even two direct torpedo hits couldn't kill the monster, only repel it.

"Monster?" Shepard asked, his face showing curiosity, "What kind of monster?"

"Its body is at least six or seven hundred meters long, a monster that looks very much like a snake, but its head is covered in huge, dark spikes, and it has three rows of eyes," Sergio recalled the moment the monster leaped out of the water. "But now that monster has been repelled."

"What kind of monster is this?" Everyone couldn't help but imagine the monster in their minds, their expressions shocked.

"Beyond!"

Suddenly, the cabin door was "banged" open. Natalie ran out of the cabin, her face full of panic, and rushed to Beyond's side.

"Natalie, what's wrong?" Beyond frowned, looking at her.

"Beyond, I'm afraid..." Natalie stopped in front of Beyond, raised her left arm, and slowly pulled up her sleeve with her right hand. "I'm afraid I brought something back from the Dark Continent..."

Unlike before, the Mobius strip on Natalie's arm was now emitting a faint blue light.

"Natalie, when did this appear?" Beyond looked at the Mobius strip pattern on Natalie's arm, his expression grave.

"I don't know, but it must have appeared only in the last two days. It wasn't there when I showered and changed clothes before," Natalie shook her head, recalling for a moment.

"I remember you had an injury here," Shepard stepped forward, pointing at the pattern on Natalie's arm. "You said it was a graze you got while fighting an alligator."

"That's right, there was indeed a graze here before," Natalie nodded with certainty, continuing, "Also, it's been very itchy here for the past three minutes."

"Three minutes ago..." Cervantes frowned deeply, then suddenly opened his eyes wide. "That was when the fleet was attacked, wasn't it?"

"Damn it, Natalie!" Sergio's face also darkened. He pointed at the Mobius strip on Natalie's arm. "That monster is very likely a being from the Dark Continent. It came because of something on your hand."

"What's on your hand might be some kind of mark!"

"Bang!"

As soon as Sergio finished speaking, the destroyer a hundred meters away stood upright with a loud crash. Its hull formed a 90° angle with the sea surface, and it was slowly falling backwards. And the one that overturned this hundred-meter-long destroyer was precisely the sea monster that everyone had previously thought was repelled.

The sea monster was pressing its head against the bottom of the destroyer. Amidst a series of steel "creaks," this last destroyer slowly capsized onto the sea surface.

"Boom!!!"

Accompanied by a massive sound from the sea, the destroyer finally flipped over onto the surface, unleashing a monstrous wave.

"Oh my God~" On the cruise ship deck, the group looked at the colossal creature leaping out of the sea. An indescribable shock rose from the depths of their hearts.

"Whoosh buzz"

This sea monster indeed resembled a snake in appearance, but only in its body shape. Its other features were nothing like a snake.

What first caught everyone's eyes was its hundred-meter-long, terrifying serpent head. Its massive mouth was slightly ajar, filled with sharp teeth, and vast amounts of seawater poured out of it.

Above its mouth, there was a row of scarlet vertical pupil eyes. Without needing to count precisely, there were six scarlet giant eyes in total, but compared to the two rows of scarlet giant eyes behind them, these were relatively few.

Because behind this row of scarlet giant eyes, there were two more neatly arranged rows of scarlet giant eyes. Upon closer inspection, each row had twelve scarlet vertical pupil eyes, and this was the case on both sides of its head.

From the very front of the monster's head to where its back entered the sea, there were black spikes resembling thorns, and between the black spikes on its back were structures similar to fins. As its body swayed, wave after wave of monstrous tides were stirred up on the sea.

This monster appeared on the sea surface under the scorching sun. Its hundreds of meters long body, which was exposed above the water, completely blocked out the sunlight, casting the cruise ship into shadow.

Suddenly, the vertical pupils in the monster's scarlet eye sockets rotated, focusing their gaze on the cruise ship. Its massive mouth slightly opened. All thirty-two vertical pupil giant eyes, with the ferocity emanating from their scarlet eye sockets, sent chills down the spines of the people on the cruise ship, leaving their bodies completely paralyzed. It was the undeniable display of a sea overlord's Conqueror's Haki.

"Do you know what I'm reminded of?" At this moment, Shepard looked at the super monster, his scalp tingling, his lips trembling. "I'm reminded of my mother."

"It's confirmed now, it's definitely coming for us," Sergio said, his mouth twitching. "Beyond, quickly think of something, or we'll all die here!"

"Whoosh buzz~!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the monster roared towards the sky, then lowered itself and slammed towards the cruise ship. Its ferocious, tooth-filled giant mouth suddenly opened wide, intending to swallow everything on the cruise ship.

"Beyond!!!"

Cervantes roared.

"Whoosh!"

At the critical moment, Beyond's figure flashed. When he reappeared, he was already a hundred meters up in the sky, rapidly forming hand signs as his five fingers flickered. High in the sky, a dense black glow suddenly burst forth. The black glow and the monster's terrifying maw violently collided.

"Boom!!!"

A powerful shockwave spread out in all directions. The shockwave expanded far away, and the airflow generated by the collision even made the cruise ship sway violently. The sea churned, waves rising and falling.
