"Who the hell..."
The site manager was suddenly grabbed by the shoulder and was about to lose his temper. Turning his head, he saw Ismail's grim expression and instantly withered.
"Uh... they're at the Cabinda Hotel in Mindelo, Biombo."
"Thank you."
Ismail released his shoulder, walked out of the construction site, opened the car door, and drove alone to Biombo.
Ismail drove for thirty minutes and arrived at the Cabinda Hotel entrance. This was the best four-star hotel in Biombo.
And just as Ismail arrived at the Cabinda Hotel in Biombo, inside the archaeological tunnel...
"kn...imb...erek..."
InĂŞs finally recorded the last sentence. She whispered their pronunciations.
"ieda...alal..."
"Buzz..."
As InĂŞs finished reciting the last set of words, a faint red light suddenly bloomed above the altar, but it quickly faded.
"InĂŞs!"
Her companions also noticed the red light and gathered around.
"What did you just do?"
InĂŞs ignored them. Instead, she stepped forward, stood over the altar, squatted down, and looked at the ground covered in thick dust.
"Too much dust."
InĂŞs extended her right hand and brushed it over the ground. The ground had accumulated a thick layer of dust from years of not being cleaned, making it impossible to see what was on the altar's surface.
"Clean this up."
InĂŞs immediately stood up and asked a man from the team to use a specialized archaeological tool to clear the dust from the altar's surface.
"Rustle... rustle..."
The man meticulously cleaned the dust from the altar's surface.
InĂŞs turned on her flashlight and shone it on the cleaned altar floor.
"This is... an ancient array map used for sacrificing to gods?"
InĂŞs reached out and touched the black lines and patterns on the altar floor, as well as the dense, tiny characters within the array map.
"These characters are not Spittar text!"
What shocked her even more was that the dense, extremely neat, tiny characters within the array map were completely different from the text on the stairs. They were never-before-seen characters.
"Push that stone coffin aside!"
InĂŞs suddenly looked up at the stone coffin, her eyes blazing with unwavering determination.
The remaining nine people looked at each other, then six of the men finally shrugged helplessly.
"Alright, it's our turn to put in some effort."
Including the bald man, the six men rolled up their sleeves, placed their hands on the stone coffin, and their muscles bulged.
"Boom..."
But even with all their strength, they only managed to make the stone coffin move slightly.
Ten minutes passed...
"Huff... huff..."
The six men were so tired they were out of breath. Disregarding the dust on the floor, they all sat down on the altar floor with a "thud."
InĂŞs squatted in front of the stone coffin, measured it, and saw that the distance moved was less than one centimeter.
"It's too heavy. We simply can't push it."
InĂŞs deeply realized that with their small group, they probably couldn't push this stone coffin.
"Eri, tell them to send twenty people down from above, and bring four nylon ropes as well."
She stood up and looked at a petite, beautiful-looking companion, asking her to call for reinforcements and more manpower.
"Okay."
The petite, beautiful girl blinked cutely, pressed her headset, and called the ground supervisor.
"Yes, I understand."
Upon receiving the message, the people above immediately organized twenty police officers on site. They entered the deep pit and followed the tunnel to the tunnel hall.
The ruins had been excavated for over thirty hours, and the air circulated, so there was no longer the feeling of difficulty breathing.
"Use ropes to loop around the stone coffin. You twenty people pull from below."
InĂŞs instructed them to tie ropes around the stone coffin, then looked at the six men resting against the stone coffin.
"As for you six, push from above."
The six men looked at each other, then shrugged helplessly again. They stood up and let the police officers tie the ropes to the stone coffin. Once the police had tied the ropes, twenty police officers stood below the altar, with four ropes each held by five people.
"One, two, three!"
With everyone working together, the six men on the altar cooperating with the twenty police officers below, the stone coffin finally began to move slowly.
"Rumble..."
Accompanied by a tremor, the stone coffin slowly moved from the center of the altar to its edge, then rolled off the altar with a "boom."
"Run!"
The twenty police officers scrambled to escape. Several fell on the ground in a panic, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
"Boom!"
With a loud crash, the stone coffin stopped in the tunnel hall, no longer rolling. The stone coffin rolled off the altar, again revealing part of the array map on the altar's surface. InĂŞs again had her companions clean it.
"This is a complete sacrificial array map..."
InĂŞs and the others gazed at the huge circular altar, ten meters in diameter, beneath their feet, their hearts filled with shock.
"What's on top of it?"
At this moment, the now calm police officers slowly gathered around, standing at the edge of the altar, curiously observing.
"Is this the altar from that mural?"
Among the team, the man who cleaned the dust knelt down, his expression grim.
"The altar, the black-robed figures, the box, the person lying in a pool of blood."
Everyone had seen those murals and naturally understood what he meant. The black-robed figures, the box, and the mutated person were all related to this altar. But now, there was nothing on the altar except the sacrificial array map.
"By the way, where did Ismail go?"
Someone in the team finally asked about Ismail's whereabouts.
"He went to find the hunter who first discovered the ruins."
"He suspects that hunter stole artifacts from the ruins."
InĂŞs said in a low voice. She was not in the mood to care about any artifacts right now. What she cared about most were these ancient characters.
"Stealing artifacts!"
"That's a crime!"
Suddenly, among the police officers squatting on the altar steps and watching, a young police officer slapped the altar with a "smack" and said righteously.
"Buzz..."
The array map on the altar suddenly glowed red.
"What... what happened?"
The young police officer blinked, somewhat bewildered. Everyone present was also in a daze.
"Is your hand injured?"
Among the hunter archaeological team, a man with an afro said with a dark expression and a deep voice.
"Oh, I fell on the ground while dodging the stone coffin just now and scraped a bit of skin."
The young police officer recalled, and subconsciously wanted to lift his hand to show everyone the wound.
"Mmm... mmm... hmm!"
However, he couldn't lift it at all. His palm seemed to be firmly stuck to the altar as if by strong glue.
"Run!"
InĂŞs's expression changed drastically. She shouted, then was the first to rush into the tunnel. The other nine followed closely behind.
"Don't run, come help!"
The remaining twenty police officers surrounded the altar, looking anxiously at the young police officer who couldn't lift his hand.
"Help him pull his hand off the altar!"
The surrounding police officers grabbed the young police officer's arms and pulled him upwards with force.
