Chapter 102 - Chapter 101 – Echoes of Brussels

The morning was calm.

After the night of fellowship, Kael felt it was time for something different.

Something that would connect the Clan not only to the Base...

But also to the world around them.

The next morning, he sent a simple internal communication:

> "External observation patrol.

Brussels.

Meeting point: Main entrance of the Base."

No formalities.

No rigid protocols.

Just an invitation.

Shortly after, they were all gathered.

Dressed as simple travelers, in discreet clothing — blending among mortals who would never suspect who they truly were.

Kael led the group.

They left through the ancient stone paths, crossing the old walled gate of the Command Base.

Outside, Brussels awaited them.

But a different Brussels.

The year was now 2012 B.C.

The streets were wider, the markets more vibrant.

Stone constructions rose boldly into the sky.

The squares were filled with sounds — music, voices, commerce.

Humanity, slowly and stubbornly, prospered.

Walking through the alleys, Kael observed in silence.

At every corner, in every face, he saw reflections of the past...

And echoes of what was yet to come.

At a certain point, they stopped in front of an ancient fountain, restored with symbols only an initiate would recognize.

Kael turned to the group.

— When I first arrived here... — his voice was low — Brussels was little more than a village of wood and earth.

— A place of legends.

They listened attentively.

Kael continued:

— I saw portals open amidst the forests.

— I saw entities crossing between worlds as if they were casual travelers.

— I saw silent battles fought under the blind eyes of mortals.

He smiled, almost imperceptibly.

— And I also saw hope.

— The hope that builds civilizations.

— Brick by brick.

— Choice by choice.

The witches absorbed every word.

Not as students before a master.

But as equals, recognizing in Kael the living memory of what they are and what they fight to protect.

As the day went on, they kept walking.

Laughing quietly.

Commenting on the future.

Planning new steps.

And without realizing it, strengthening even more the invisible thread that now bound them.

Not just as agents.

Not just as soldiers.

But as a family made of time, resilience, and dreams.
