Dax's skin burnt as his face turned red…as he half carried, half dragged Vera away from the training grounds.
Her heels clicked against the stone floor of the barracks corridor, but the sound was lost under the rush of their breath.
By the time they reached the line of training lockers, Dax didn't bother with restraint anymore…He spun her around, slamming her back against one of the cold metals with a loud clang.
Vera gasped, her head thrown back, eyes glittering like fire. "Dax?!"
Her words broke off as his mouth crashed against hers. It wasn't a kiss. It was a storm.
His teeth caught her lip, his tongue demanded, and his hand fisted in her hair, yanking her head just enough to deepen the assault.Vera moaned into his mouth, clawing at his bare chest, nails dragging down the slick lines of his muscle. "You stink of sweat you know," she hissed against his lips, breathless, so hungry.
