The pitter-patter of rain echoes off every sidewalk, accompanied by busy footsteps and automobiles. A common harmony in the city of Tokyo, Japan.
A lone boy walks down an alley with an umbrella in his right hand and a school bag slung over his back. Zeta Kaizaki, an 18 year old student attending Tokyo University—sporting black hair and black eyes—treads carefully as he makes his way to his apartment.
Zeta flinches, freezing in his tracks as he remembers something he was supposed to do before going home.
'Oh crap! I forgot the letter that I was supposed to give to Evangle today, I left it in my locker.'
'I haven't gone too far from the school campus yet, I suppose I should go get it first. It will be a hassle if I deliver it tomorrow.'
Zeta spins around and runs in the direction of the school campus. 'There's still time before it closes for the day.'
He moves quickly while being cautious of surfaces slick with rainwater. Concern weighs on his mind at the thought of slipping and getting injured.
After a few minutes, Zeta reaches the gate of the university. Then passing through the front entrance, he opens the door and places down his umbrella, hurriedly running up to his locker. Then something—no someone—stops him.
"Kaizaki-kun?" A girl calls out, and Zeta flinches in surprise.
"Ehk?" He sharply turns left and right, but doesn't find the source of the voice.
"I'm standing behind you."
Zeta swivels around then freezes in place at the sight of a girl with long white hair. Her face shines beautifully joined by radiating blue eyes. Simply looking at this magnificent being brings about a sensation akin to the piercing of a thousand swords.
Zeta knows this girl. She is his classmate, Leona Shiroi, the school's most beautiful girl. Not only that, but she's also the most intelligent in the entire school, granting her the title of 'Winter Maiden'.
"Shiroi-san?"
After a moment, Zeta, still frozen in shock, quickly fixes his posture and returns to a calm demeanor.
"Kaizaki-kun are you perhaps looking for this?"
Leona said, before taking something from her bag. She holds out a letter in her right hand.
"This... I saw you running to your locker so I assumed it was important."
She gives Zeta the letter.
"Oh, thank you! And—by the way—this might sound strange, but I swear that I put this inside my locker... and it was locked," he points out, with indirect accusation.
Leona tilts her head in confusion for a moment, before muttering an explanation.
"Hmm. Well, I found this earlier, just outside of your locker. At first I assumed it was trash, but when I read the front, I found your signature on it."
Zeta stows away the letter back into his bag.
"Thank you, again."
After thanking Leona, he turns around to leave but stops himself, looking back at Leona with a curious expression.
'Shiroi-san hasn't left yet...'
The student council has nothing to do today and there are no club activities. 'Wait a moment...'
"Shiroi-san, I couldn't help but notice that you haven't left the school campus yet, and you're wearing a gloomy expression. Is it perhaps because you don't have an umbrella...?"
Leona flinches, but quickly covers it up with her cold facade.
"My situation doesn't concern you, Kaizaki-kun."
Zeta quickly replies,
"Well, actually yeah it does. The teachers always say, help your classmates, am I right?"
The girl's gaze turns colder. Zeta feels her gaze pierce through him like icicles as he looks back into her stunning eyes.
Leona quickly glances around the immediate vicinity, finding the school to be empty apart from Zeta and herself.
"Just for today..." she mutters, then walks right past Zeta and quietly opens the door. The crashing sound of rain intensifies as soon as the door is cracked open.
"What are you looking at?"
Leona glances back sharply at the boy, leaving him with a confused look on his face.
"Um... did you perhaps misunderstand, Shiroi-san?"
"What?!"
Leona demanded.
"Ah– well. This will be easier than having to explain."
Zeta quickly moves and places his umbrella into Leona's hand, surprising the girl in the process. He runs with all of his might to get to the nearest bus station just to the left of the campus gate.
Without time to react, Leona's cold-faced mask crumbles away leaving her speechless. She stares numbly at Zeta's retreating figure, running full speed without even slipping as if denying the water's existence.
"Wha–...?"
The boy slowly disappears, as if being devoured by the fog and downpour.
Zeta quickly moves past the gate, to the bus station just nearby.
"Haah... Haaahh..."
He breathes heavily after running at full speed.
'Thank god my bag isn't completely wet...'
Zeta thought gratefully.
'I never knew that my daily work out would help me this much haah..'
*Bus will arive in 2minutes.*
An announcement from the station could be hear.
'Seems like i am right.'
Zeta have memorized the schedule time for every bus that comes in and out of the university he notice that he can give the umbrella to leona and just take the bus for faster travel. It was a win win situation for zeta.
I quickly put my earphones and connected it to my phone.
"Brrrmmmm... Shikk.."
The sound of the bus break reached zeta's ear as he started to walk inside the bus and try to be seated down at the front just nearby on the bus driver seat.
As zeta seated he notice that there are only 3 passenger a little elementary girl with black hair and a university student from akairu university its the closest University just besides tokyo University with a unique uniform with black, red and white style of uniform. With a feature of golden hair and a gold eyes, ignoring both of them zeta went and seated.
While looking at the wondering about the world and how modern it is, zeta looking in his phone listening to music just a normal therapy and stress reliever for a university student after a long day of school.
A few minutes later not known to any people involved. something tragic will happen.

The bus that meant to return to its garage to be use again by the morning has never arrived at night. And the people on board never been seen again.
Three days have pass and alot of people have known about the news of the missing bus and the people it carries.
The student and teachers of tokyo University and akairu university have gone wild with 2 missing students of the infamous University of Japan.
"Hey hey! Have you heard? Zeta Kaizaki is also the one of the missing persons scince from 2 days ago right?!"
Gossips around gossips.
Zeta doesn't really have a friend on university he is an introvert type of person who only has one goal which is to graduate and get a stable job, zeta also doesn't have social skills thats why zeta grades is hard to maintain because of the failing grade he get from social skills and activities hosted by teachers or in progams.
The one who have been greatly affected by zeta's disappearance is his family and one of the classmate he knew, it was zeta's childhood friend.
A girl named Yaiko Lumian who has a long black hair and a brown eyes in tears after hearing her childhood friend have gone missing and hasn't been found.
Suddenly someone open the door of the room and a sudden quietness stoping the gossips of the student.
It was leona as normal she shown a beautiful look but a cold face keeping anyone from interacting her.
Moment of silence, leona move to yaiko seat and look at zeta seat were only emptiness can be seen.
"Can we talk for a minute?"
"Hik... Huh..?"
Yaika surprised that their most beautiful classmate ask for something to talk to.
However leona look at yaika with cold eyes yet..
"Is there something tha-"
"There is, now lets talk outside."
"Huah-"
Yaika was speechless and suddenly leona grab her hand and quickly they leave the classroom leaving all their classmate in shock.
"Wha-wait.. what do you want to tell me??"
"Wait lets go to a more quieter place."
Leona continue to pull yaika to a quieter place where no one can hear them talk.
"....."
Once they stop walking yaika look at leona but her eyes widened...
The once cold face that leona was showing was gone it was overwhelmed by sadness as she grab something in her bag.
"Here.."
Leona shows an umbrella that zeta have given to her.
"That... Thats zeta's umbrella right!!?"
Leona nodded and give the umbrella to yaika.
"..."
"..."
An awkward situation arised and as soon as leona read the mood she turned and tried to leave. But as she try to leave yaiko grab her back trying to stop leona from leaving.
"WAIT!"
"Do you know where zeta is?!"
"Tell me!"
Yaika eyes begin to waver and tears starting to build up in her eyes.
"Ahh...." Leona eyes widen as she look at yaika.
"Hik... Hikk.. tell mee!.."
"...."
After a moment of silence. Leona speak.
"I don't know... Zeta just given me that umbrella and you are the only one who is close to him i just thought of giving it back."
Unable to say a word to leona yaika face have turned dark, broken for losing her childhood friend, unavailable to know if he is still alive.
Leona not being able to help yaika. Turned her face to leave. But this time no one stop her. Yaika lost the energy to stop leona as she walk away but not far away Leona muttered a word.
"Im sorry.. really."
Leona leave zaika alone in with her feet have collapse unable to bear the pain in her heart holding the umbrella that leona have given her..
