Awakening II
"Haruto..?" The name felt familiar, but strange. Yet , as memories of this life quickly filled his mind , they didn't seem foreign at all. This is his life now.
Miyuki. His mother .
She was gentle and nurturing, always nearby with a soft smile, a warm touch , a kind word. He could see her cooking in the kitchen, laughing as she tucked him at night, as if she'd always been there, always cared. she felt real ... real, like she'd always been there.
And his father , Souta-- he wasn't cold, Not like his biological father. Souta was strong , yet kind . A man who took time out of his busy day to watch over haruto, to make sure he was happy . To spend time with him, not out of obligation , because he wanted to.
This.... is his family now ,he realized , a slight tug in his chest.
The contrast to his past life was stark.
He couldn't deny it -- Haruto's life was not like his previous one. These people cared . This life.... it felt right. And yet, a small ache remained . The memories of his past life , his old parents, lingered--quiet, but present , a reminder of what he had lost.

He could barely remember their faces.The nurse , Diana , was the only one who had ever stayed close, offering comfort in his final. she had always been kind , even if he hadn't known how to it appreciate it at the same time .
