Okay... I really don't know how to feel.
Happy that one of the contestants for my Eve is gone? Or sad that my Eve is hurting and my friend just lost his chance with his beloved?
Honestly, I think it's a mix of both, but deep down, I know it's for the best.
Lucius was a danger to her—whether she realized it or not. The guy's a cold, calculating, and unrelenting force, and if he ever found out that she was a Nightshade... he'd kill her. I don't doubt it for a second. The bloodline of witches who cursed him, the very bloodline she carries in her veins—it's like a ticking time bomb. So, in a weird, twisted way, I'm relieved he's out of the picture.
I'm not about to deny that Lucius' absence might make things easier for me—no one can deny how well he can turn on that charm. I've seen the way Eve looks at him, the way she lets her guard down around him. If anyone had a chance to pull her in, it was him. But he's out of the picture now, at least for the moment.
