Time bent around him. He screamed—and the clock reversed.
Again and again.
Until screaming became silence.

Present – Forest Border Patrol
Tsunade had sent Raiden, Ino, and Ayaka on a two-day mission to scout chakra distortions near the border. Yuuki volunteered—but was declined. Hinata stayed behind to assist the med-nin.
Night fell.
They found shelter in a quiet cave near the stream. A small fire crackled between them.
Ino leaned against the wall, arms crossed.
"So… awkward silence or deep secrets?"
Raiden looked at her. "There's something coming. I can feel it."
Ayaka handed him a ration bar. "There's always something coming. But tonight, you rest."

Confessions Under Firelight
Later, as Ayaka slept lightly beside the entrance, Ino sat next to Raiden, closer than usual.
"I hate how you make me care so much," she said, barely audible. "It's terrifying."
Raiden looked at her—seriously, quietly.
"I don't want to hurt you," he replied.
"You won't," she whispered. "Because I won't let you disappear into that system."
She leaned in. Close.
"I'm not asking for forever," Ino murmured. "Just… let me be near you now."
Their lips almost touched—
"Raiden," Ayaka interrupted. "We're not alone."
A ripple in the shadows.

Yuuki's Awakening
From the trees, the air shimmered—and Yuuki stepped forward, eyes glowing violently red.
"You left me behind again," she said.
Raiden stood. "Yuuki, you're not well—"
"I remember everything now." Her voice cracked. "We weren't meant to survive. But I did. So did you. Why are you pretending to be normal?!"
Power surged from her body—chakra that warped even the stars above. The ground trembled.
Ayaka summoned all her threads.
Ino activated her Mind Spike Seal.
But Raiden walked toward her.
"You're right," he said. "We're not normal. But we don't have to be monsters."
Yuuki screamed—
> System Alert: Subject Three Awakening Phase Two Initiated
New Skill Detected: Void Repulsion — Nulls All Chakra in 30m Radius

Meanwhile – Shiro and Hinata
Back in Konoha, Shiro trained alone. Hinata approached cautiously.
"You saw it, didn't you?" she asked.
Shiro didn't answer at first. Then:
"She's breaking."
"Can she be saved?"
He looked at Hinata—and for once, his voice held no humor.
"That depends on him."
