The supervisor's collar was grabbed, tightly enough to make him almost suffocate. How could he be blamed for this? He thought that this woman was involved with someone high up, so naturally, he approved the leave note she submitted immediately. Who would have thought it would land him in so much trouble? Now, seeing Joshua Hughes's eyes, red as blood, he felt it wasn't just trouble; it was as if he had stirred a hornet's nest, or perhaps something even more dangerous, like a powder keg.
"President Hughes, I didn't know I couldn't approve it. She followed the normal procedure. I really didn't know..." His face had turned red, and he found it difficult to speak clearly.
