Even without calculating the exact number, she had a rough idea at least. If it had been just a small sum, there wouldn't have been a need for them to struggle so much for sponsorship back then.
Joshua Hughes interrupted Avery Jane impatiently: "That amount is trivial."
She had come to find him; didn't she know what he was about?
Avery Jane looked at him, trying to find something on this man's face, but guessing the hearts of people was not her strong suit.
There was a fresh and indifferent light in her eyes, seemingly contradictory yet skillfully merged: "This condition should be proposed by Mr. Hughes. After all, I cannot know what you, being so wealthy, still want, and what I can offer."
If that chance encounter made him feel she was rude, she was willing to apologize for Wenyard, willing to bow her head and apologize.
