Chapter 18 - 016 Atlas Hallow is here

"Assistant Parker, don't worry. I've worked abroad before, so I'm familiar with restaurant work..." Seeing the expression on Daniel Parker's face, she couldn't help but smile, her voice sweet and light as she spoke.

Daniel Parker smiled wryly to himself. What he wanted was for the president's wife not to work at all. He wanted her to be revered like a goddess, rather than doing any work.

When taking Charlotte Miller downstairs to complete the procedures, even the usually indifferent Daniel Parker couldn't help but curiously ask, "Why does Madam want to go to the restaurant?" With so many departments in Hallow Clan, Daniel thought Charlotte would choose the investment department or the planning department. Going to the restaurant seemed somewhat inexplicable.

"Thirty is my lucky number." Charlotte still gave the same answer, simple yet seemingly justified. After all, there are indeed many girls who like their lucky number, stone, or zodiac sign. But somehow, Daniel felt it wasn't that simple.

After completing the induction procedures, they went to the executive dining hall. In Hallow Clan, emphasis is placed on the employees' working environment, making their restaurant particularly renowned. There are stories of executives gaining over thirty pounds in a year here.

Amir Hallow wouldn't whimsically clear nearly a thousand square meters in such a prime location for an executive dining hall. This establishment serves as a significant means to boost employee enthusiasm and enhance team cohesion.

Life is actually quite simple, merely about three meals a day.

The entire restaurant's design deviates slightly from Hallow Clan's cool, aloof style, adopting a retro school theme with bare hanging bulbs, warm sturdy wooden beams, unadorned concrete floors paired with post-industrial furniture and iron pieces, creating a vibrant and energetic industrial atmosphere.

The restaurant manager approached as soon as he saw Daniel Parker enter.

"Assistant Parker, why did you come down in person? A phone call would suffice if you need anything." The manager was all smiles, speaking in a respectful tone, which clearly indicated Daniel's high status at Hallow Clan, under one and above ten thousand.

Amir Hallow apparently trusts him immensely. It's rare for Amir to trust someone to such an extent. Charlotte felt that even Amir Hallow didn't seem as close as Atlas Hallow's relationship with Daniel Parker.

Daniel Parker gestured for the restaurant manager to speak aside, while Charlotte tactfully moved to view the scenery outside the floor-to-ceiling window.

This was the fourth day after returning to the country, still feeling as if in a dream...

"Arrange the simplest tasks for her, and make sure no one argues with her or makes her feel pressured." Daniel felt he was clear enough, right? After all, this is the president's wife who can't have any mishaps, but he couldn't be too explicit. He didn't know what Amir Hallow and Charlotte were up to, but he had to arrange things within his control to the best of his ability.

The restaurant manager looked puzzled but nodded. Assigning a leisurely task should be simple enough, he thought. This pretty girl probably didn't study well, lacking any qualifications and unable to fit into any department of the Hallow Clan Institution, so they could only place her in the restaurant. Fortunately, the restaurant required no qualifications. They didn't know whose major connection she was, but clearly not someone to offend, especially since the president's assistant personally escorted her.

The manager could never have imagined, even with a hundred heads, that this young woman working in his restaurant was actually the president's wife of the entire massive group.

Charlotte felt unprecedentedly relaxed these few days. At this moment, in the nearly thousand-square-meter executive dining hall, there were barely any people; only the back kitchen had started bustling, ready to serve the executives at the pyramid's pinnacle in Hallow Clan Group. Hundreds of senior department heads would dine here at various times, with opening hours from 11 AM to 11 PM, making overtime a norm at this kind of group.

"Charlotte, you're just responsible for walking around, then if any area's food is about to run out, use this walkie-talkie to inform the serving department." Since Daniel Parker personally instructed it, the restaurant manager assigned her the tasks he usually did. Simply strolling in the restaurant and talking over a walkie-talkie seemed like an easy job, right?

Charlotte began familiarizing herself with the place. At about ten-thirty, the back kitchen serving department started laying out the food.

She discovered there was everything: Western dishes like Italian ricotta, baked salmon risotto, premium beef eye fillet with pasta and mango salad, Mexican veggie salad sandwiches, authentic Spanish seafood shrimp rice with sausages and mussels, pumpkin Italian ravioli, Thai curry chicken. Even more impressively, there were roasted duck in red sauce in the operational area, thin pancakes, sliced cucumber, sweet bean paste, and fine white sugar all neatly laid out. In the Japanese sashimi area, young men in dazzlingly white chef uniforms swiftly sliced tuna, arranging exquisite small plates in front of them, and the freshly ground wasabi was a pleasing sight.

Not to mention various seasonal Chinese hot dishes, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, and desserts, making her a bit dazzled.

This employee dining hall was no less than any top-notch hotel buffet, and Hallow Clan had three such executive dining halls in total, with just this being one of them.

Charlotte's mind quickly turned, almost able to estimate how many executives Hallow Clan had. She could preliminarily reckon Hallow Clan's annual production value. Though it might be a bit exaggerated to deduce the whole picture from one corner, seeing this kind of strength, Hallow Clan's profitability level appeared quite impressive, likely to be astonishing.

When she changed into her uniform and came out of the employees' changing room, the long dining table was almost fully laid out with dishes, and people had already started coming in for lunch.

At noon, Atlas Hallow might appear in any of the three dining halls, so when Hallow Clan's female executives arrive at the dining hall, some will inadvertently touch up their makeup before coming in, considering their president is handsome and wealthy. When Atlas appears in any dining hall, that hall gets notably more female executives, even married ones come for their visual feast. Yet, Atlas hadn't appeared in the dining hall for some days, which left many feeling a bit disappointed.

"President Hallow is here..."

"Ah, it really is President Hallow..."

At 11:30, when quite a few people had gradually filled the dining hall, Atlas Hallow's appearance elicited low exclamations from everyone.

Charlotte looked up, watching the man walk in, surrounded by people like a crane among chickens, his intrinsic air of leadership and authority undisguisedly evident.
