Gu Fuqiao nodded and picked up the bucket, following Chen Bajin towards the well.
After walking for a while, they reached the spot, which already had quite a few people fetching water. As soon as Gu Fuqiao arrived, she heard a woman's loud voice.
"You two, quickly get this water back to the house for me." The voice was almost deafening; even from a distance, Gu Fuqiao could hear it. She looked up and saw a rather robust woman fetching water by the well.
In those days, there were hardly any overweight people. This woman had the potential to be plump, but she wasn't; she was only robust, possibly because of her large frame.
