CHAPTER 64 - Object Number 4
Ah, how great that my skill is enough to make her faint from pleasure in minutes; it didn't drag on too long. "Time to get the hell out of here."
I opened the door, ready to leave, but…
… Having sex with a woman and then disappearing from her life forever. I feel like a horrible human being. Well, we're both horrible people. I took advantage of her to use her smartphone, and she took advantage of my supposed innocence.
We both got something out of this, right? This is fair for both of us.
… Better not think about it.
Without looking back at her one last time, I closed the door, leaving her alone in her bed, sleeping peacefully… I'm sorry.
Don't overthink it, Kei. Not right now.
Just don't, please… Ah…
Desmolfer will visit the shopping plaza to talk with the merchants in about three hours. It pains me to admit it, but she seems like a great ruler who genuinely cares about her demons. It pains me because now I feel more confused than I already was.
I sit on the stairs and sigh.
Speaking of society in general, demons are better than humans. Excluding the warrior demons, demons seem to live very well, without crime, without poverty, without fear (at least for now). They even live in a modern city with technology. Meanwhile, humans live in fear of being killed by monsters, bandits, corrupt nobles, adventurers, or other ordinary people like them. Human society is dangerous in general. And worst of all, they only have magic, no technology, while demons have both!
If Desmolfer continues to choose the path of revenge against humans, what will I do? Will I side with the humans? I know it's my own race, but demon society is far more civilized and peaceful.
I want to save the demons, but I don't want humans to go extinct.
"What will I do when that moment comes?"
What decision will I make? Save the humans and kill the demons? Save the demons and let them kill the humans? If Desmolfer doesn't accept an alliance, I'll have to make a choice.
Pfft. I don't even know if I'll be able to stand up to a hero. I still have a long way to go.
"Ah, man, I'm thirsty."
And hungry. Very hungry.
I went down the stairs. Drin and Mia were waiting for me in the living room, with the most important information gathered on sheets of paper, translated so I could read them.
"The society of weak demons is quite vulnerable, darling. Their only defense is Desmolfer and her husbands. If we stay away from them, the rest will be a piece of cake," said Drin.
"And she's only here one day a week. We could leave and come back tomorrow. It'd be safer, don't you think?" said Mia, looking at me, blinking a lot with a big smile on her face.
Tempting, tempting. Very tempting. I'm totally on board…!
"Tch. My darling isn't a coward! Besides, we're already here; it's better to finish this as soon as possible. The Supreme God chose you to accompany us, don't disappoint him with your stupid comments, little girl," said Drin.
"I-I was just giving my opinion."
It's not cowardice; it's common sense. Why take such a big risk? But yeah, I agree with Drin. We're already here, and we have several escape plans. It's worth taking the risk.
"Time's running out, and we need the power of that object. My darling's life, including ours, depends on it," said Drin, with a completely serious expression.
Mia and I nodded.
The Queen has me trapped in her claws; she's right. If I want to keep them safe, I need that object, and the sooner I get it, the more time I'll have to train and perfect my moves with whatever that object is.
"We've got more than enough; let's go, darling," said Drin.
"What if we hit a restaurant? I'm curious about the food," I said.
"Is it safe?" said Mia.
"We have to pretend we're normal demons living normal lives. Besides, Drin already knows the local economy; we won't draw attention."
"Leave it to me, darling!" said Drin.
I'm so hungry. So, so hungry. Did she drain my energy while we were having sex? I didn't notice.
"Hehe."
Drin rubbed my stomach.
"Hungry, sweetie? Don't worry, I'll take you to the best restaurant!"
Sounds expensive, so it'll be more noticeable.
"I'd rather go to a simpler, cheaper one."
"I agree, a more common one is better," said Mia.
"I think there's one two streets away. Let's go there," said Drin.
"Let's go."
•
•
They spent an hour eating at a small restaurant, and after being satisfied with the food, they headed to Desmolfer's mansion.
To their surprise, demon food was pretty normal, so there's no comment on it. Kei just feels a bit disappointed because he expected more interesting things, like eyes, bat wings, guts, still-beating hearts, stuff like that. He didn't say anything about it to avoid offending Drin, but it's her fault that Kei had a bad image of demon food. She used to eat humans, raw or cooked, which is why he thought demons ate disgusting things.
"Well, well."
They arrived at Desmolfer's mansion, which was next to a school. Drin and Mia discreetly observed the mansion, analyzing every detail, but Kei's gaze was elsewhere.
A high school, very similar to his old school in his original world. Naturally, his being filled with great nostalgia and happiness, which manifested on his face with a huge smile, but it also had another side effect: stupidity.
"Demon girls in school uniforms! Monster girls too! Look, Mia, a cyclops girl! She's different from the cyclopes in our world! Look, a beetle girl! A snake girl! Cool, there's a spider girl too! An adorable squirrel girl?! She's so cute!" said Kei, pointing at each girl he mentioned with his finger, drawing attention.
"What did you say about my girlfriend?!" said a demon with a deep, imposing voice.
A demon… Chihuahua.
A demon with a huge, muscular body but the tiny head of a Chihuahua, barking at him.
Mia and Drin, who found Kei's reaction very cute (though stupid), realized the danger that demon posed. They overlooked the stupidity Kei was committing simply because they found it adorable to see him so excited and happy, but seeing that demon made them snap back to reality and worry.
Was it a very powerful demon? Not at all; Kei could kill it with a sneeze. So why was it a danger to them? Because Kei was smiling even more, his heart racing so fast it made his chest puff up, his breathing quickening every second, and he raised both arms. Why did he raise his arms? Well…
"So cuuuute!!"
Kei jumped to hug it, but he was stopped in time by both of them. They grabbed his arms, Drin covered his mouth, and they fled the scene running.
Kei's weakness is cuteness; that's no secret. But today, they realized just how serious that weakness is. A very, very stupid weakness, but it's real.
[Don't act so suspicious, darling!]
[Did you see that, Drin?! That demon had a huge body but a tiny Chihuahua head! And his voice! Did you hear his voice?! It doesn't match at all! Hahahahaha!]
[So cute!] said Drin, hugging Kei tightly and forcing Mia to carry both of them.
"Kei's weakness: the weird. Drin's weakness: Kei. Seriously, I hope no one finds out about this," thought Mia, while her fingers caressed a certain backside.
"Hey, idiot."
Drin's hand landed on Mia's face, who immediately stopped out of fear.
"Y-Yes?"
"Who do you think you're groping, four-eyes?"
"Huh…? Uwaaah!"
Realizing the backside she was groping was Drin's, she immediately let them both go and dropped to her knees.
"I-It won't happen again, I swear!"
"You better…! Hmmh?!"
Kei covered both their mouths, returning to his more serious personality.
"You're both equally important, got it?"
They both nodded, and Kei sighed, realizing how stupid he'd been for letting his emotions take over.
"Sorry, darling," said Drin, hugging Kei from behind.
[It looks like Desmolfer is at home; we need to wait,] said Mia.
[Alright, I'll go investigate. Let me know when she leaves.]
He walked away, and the girls grabbed him by the ear to stop him from doing something else stupid.
[What are you doing, darling?!]
[Drin, it's a school like the ones in my world; I just want to check it out a bit. I'll be back in a few minutes. I promise I won't stand out.]
Kei genuinely wanted with all his heart to go into that school, to feel like he was back in his original world. She knew that, and although she knew it was better to stay away from demons, she decided to take the risk and agree, all to see the man she loves happy.
[Alright, but don't take too long.]
[Thanks!]
Kei ran off, and Drin sighed.
[Is it a good idea to let him go alone?] said Mia.
[He's acting weird because of nostalgia. He needs to remember this isn't his world; it's just similar.]
After moving away from the girls, Kei easily entered the school. Some teachers saw him but didn't suspect anything; that's how safe Hell is. No worries about sexual predators, no worries about psychopaths, not even worries about thieves.
In Kei's world, you need a student ID to enter, to prevent strangers from getting in. The first big difference was marked, slowly erasing the great nostalgia he felt.
"A school…"
The girls looked at him and blushed at Kei's—or rather, Cris's—very attractive appearance.
Most demons were "ugly," so Kei's attractive appearance drew a lot of attention, but that couldn't have mattered less to him at that moment, and that was another mistake he was about to make.
In his original world, he was never aware of the looks he got, but now, he was. The girls stared at him and smiled, and that made his nostalgia explode.
Kei started crying and quickly wiped his tears with his hands so no one would notice.
"It's not my world… But…" he thought.
He went into a bathroom and washed his face in the sink.
What made him react like that? Cris, his best friend. To Kei, Cris was every girl's dream. He was the one who always got chocolates and gifts, love letters, the most popular guy in school. Getting all that attention reminded him of his best friend.
A best friend he… might never see again, or at least not how he hoped.
"It's so similar…"
His tears fell, and he smiled, remembering the only true friend he's ever had.
"My world…"
[Darling, Desmolfer left earlier than planned! It's our chance!]
His gaze hardened, and he left the bathroom. Goodbye to the nonsense; it's time for action.
"I've got work to do."
•
•
Drin, Kei, and Mia prepared to enter, analyzing the surroundings to get in without being seen by anyone outside. When no one was looking, they immediately ran and entered through the door.
There really was no security. The mansion had no walls, and the door was open. They just opened it and walked in, no need to break it down.
"No security. Too convenient," said Mia.
"And I thought it was an exaggeration," said Kei.
"I told you crime doesn't exist here, darling; security isn't necessary," said Drin.
One of the mansion's doors opened, and an elderly woman, Desmolfer's servant, came in carrying a basket of dirty laundry.
When their eyes met, she smiled at them, giving them a warm welcome, not suspecting a thing. After all, what kind of ungrateful demon would enter the home of their kind and benevolent Queen without permission? She doesn't even consider the possibility that they could be bad people.
She doesn't suspect anything. She feels no fear.
She thinks today is a normal day like any other.
She woke up in bed with her husband, had a pleasant and happy breakfast with her family, bathed, put on her uniform, and went to work. A typical, ordinary day.
She believes everything will be fine, but the reality is terrifying.
"Are you guests of…?"
And as she tried to take a step toward them, her head fell to the ground, decapitated by Drin's nails in less than a second.
Yes, less than a second was enough to end that woman's peaceful and happy life, and Kei was aware of it.
This time, they were undoubtedly the villains.
"D-Drin, what are you doing?!" he reacted, shaken by such a sudden action.
He knew that if they were discovered, they'd have to fight. He knew there was a chance they'd have to kill demons, but after seeing Hell in person, his guilt grew, as they were attacking a peaceful and innocent place.
A second employee came in and, upon witnessing the scene, screamed in fear and tried to escape, but his head was smashed against the wall by Mia, exploding into pieces.
Two innocents were killed by Drin and Mia. There's no other excuse to justify it except the mission's success.
Kei had killed innocents in the past; his mother trained him to be mentally prepared to do so when necessary. He tortured them to death until he got used to the guilt.
For the sake of a mission, Kei is willing to kill innocent people, but this time, what he feels is something new. He's not just killing innocents; he's killing people whose home is very peaceful.
He's bringing fear to Hell itself.
"Who are you…?"
Maids. A mother and daughter who came to investigate the scream were attacked by Drin. The mother died instantly, pierced through the chest by Drin's arm, but Kei saved the little girl, stopping the knee that was about to crush her small head with his arm.
As blood dripped from his arm, he locked eyes with Drin. He doesn't dare get angry with her because he knows it wouldn't be right. She's right to kill them. It's not the best solution, but it's the most effective and fastest. There's no time for dialogue, and tying them up with rope wouldn't work either, as they might use [Thought Communication] to warn Desmolfer about this.
"Darling, I…"
"I know."
Kei hugged the girl, who gradually lost consciousness and fell asleep. Drin lowered her knee, and Kei used his healing magic to fix his broken bones.
"The angel attribute is enough to make them sleep."
He had already experienced the effects of the angelic magic attribute on Drin, learning how to use it to his advantage. One discovery was that when used on a specific part of the brain, specifically the hypothalamus, it causes the demon to fall asleep instantly. Kei plans to use this to kidnap demons for interrogation or, in cases like this, to avoid killing.
"We can't take risks, darling. You…"
"I said it myself, I know."
Kei looked at the mother's body for just a second and ran off.
"I'm sorry… I'm sorry."
Kei went up the stairs and started searching for the room. There were 15 rooms in the mansion, but they found Desmolfer's room effortlessly. Why? Because her door is the only one with a painting of Fravi being violated by goblins. And, in fact, it's not the only painting; the door is covered in paintings humiliating and killing Fravi. Being beheaded, roasted on a grill, served as a Christmas dinner instead of turkey, licking the fungus-covered feet of a fat man, among other more graphic and illegal-to-mention paintings.
"Well, well. This fills me with satisfaction."
He took the foot-licking painting and stored it in his [Magic Storage].
"This one's my favorite."
"I want this one, darling!"
A painting of Fravi wearing a dirty diaper.
"Hmm. Which one should I pick?" said Mia.
"No time!"
Kei stored all the paintings in his [Magic Storage] and entered the room. A… normal room. Nothing to note. The door is covered in paintings too, but that's the only weird thing.
"Well, well. I imagined it more extravagant."
"With human bones everywhere and human kids as pets, right?" said Mia.
"Yeah, something like that. This is so simple. I think we got the wrong room."
"Desmolfer doesn't sleep; she doesn't feel the need to. She probably only uses this place for sex, and for that, you just need a bed," said Drin.
"There's only one way to find out if it's her room."
Kei walked toward the bed, but before he could reach it, tentacles emerged from under the bed and tried to grab him. He instinctively jumped back and avoided them.
Those tentacles weren't normal; their tips were… well… mushrooms… male mushrooms. To be cruder, they weren't tentacles; they were tentacle penises, straight out of a pervert's sickest fantasy.
"Trap!"
Kei backed away immediately and prepared to fight, but his serious expression was overshadowed by his confusion and disgust.
"Tentacles?" said Mia.
"More like tentapenes," said Drin.
"No. 'Tenta-Butts,' definitely fits perfectly. Hahahahaha!" said Kei.
The girls didn't laugh because Kei's joke was in Spanish, a language Mia doesn't understand, and Drin still hasn't fully mastered.
"What? I didn't get it."
"'Tenta-culos'… What's 'tenta,' darling?"
"Ugh, let's drop it. What are those, Drin?"
"I guess Desmolfer's room does have security… No, wait. Desmolfer is a very perverted woman. Too perverted, in my opinion. I heard rumors about some perverted traps she set for novice demons, but she said it was a lie. Is this one of them?"
"I don't think it's a lie," said Kei.
"Ugh. They look disgusting," said Mia.
"Couldn't it just be a sex toy?" said Drin, noticing they weren't attacking.
"… Toy?"
Kei felt a shiver. He remembered a video Cris once showed him, specifically a porn animation about monsters raping schoolgirls. In that scene, a tentacle monster had entered a classroom and was raping eight women at once with its tentacles.
"Look, it's so gross. The tentacles are penetrating them. I can't believe Otakus jerk off to this," Cris had said.
"And… why do you have it downloaded?"
"…"
"…"
"I'll buy you a book if you don't say anything."
"Deal!"
That video was only on Cris's phone for one reason: he wanted to see Kei with an erection… again. They did everything together, so it was inevitable that he'd see Kei with one. He was surprised by the size, and… well, need I explain what that triggered in Cris? A teenager, seeing the sexual side of the man he loves.
"Tentacles, trap, sexual…" said Kei.
Suddenly, he froze in fear as he saw the tips turning toward them.
"Clichés always happen to me. Girls, don't get near the tentacles!"
As he shouted that, the tentacles immediately shot toward them.
Kei didn't want the tentacles to rape the girls, so he focused on protecting them, creating huge ice blocks in front of them, except in front of himself, as he planned to charge forward and cut them at the base. The girls definitely didn't need protection from mere tentacles, but they were so thrilled to see Kei defending them that they decided to do nothing and just watch their hero.
But… the tentacles had no interest in the girls.
All the tentacles went straight for him and grabbed his arms and legs. Kei has more than enough agility and speed to avoid being caught, but something stopped his brain from reacting logically, and he stood still, not knowing what to do.
He was caught.
"Huh? W-Wait!"
One tentacle went into Kei's mouth, and another slipped into his pants, filling his eyes with tears of disgust.
"Hhnmmhh!!"
Drin and Mia got so turned on by the spectacle that they couldn't stop watching. They knew Kei was suffering, but their bodies wouldn't move at all. Maybe subconsciously, they knew this would never happen again and wanted to memorize the moment, or they simply couldn't think clearly from watching something so weird and hot.
"Hhnmmhh!!" he shouted with his mouth full, trying to ask for help from his companions, who just watched with their mouths open.
But when he felt a tip at a certain part of his backside, without caring about wasting energy, Kei used his ice magic to unleash a massive winter blast, freezing the entire room instantly, including the girls.
With a big bite, he broke the tentacle in his mouth and spat the remains on the floor. He broke the others with his strength while Drin thawed herself using her demonic power, which is naturally hot. Mia thawed slowly by being near her, but at a much slower rate.
"Damn it! I almost got raped! Drin, Mia, thanks for the help! You helped so much!"
"S-Sorry. I-I didn't know what to do," said Mia, shivering from the cold.
"I-It was just so… arousing," said Drin.
Kei sighed and fully thawed Mia with a fire blast that surrounded her until all the ice melted.
"T-Thanks."
"That was close. My butt's still intact. Well, well. Ah… I'll need therapy after this. Lots, lots, lots of therapy! You readers, the author is a sick pervert; stop wasting your time reading this and go do something productive with your lives, you bunch of…"
Kei started arguing with himself, leaving the girls silent, not knowing what to do.
"… Who's he talking to?" said Mia, seeing Kei talking to nothing.
"Forgive me, darling. I…"
"Let's not dwell on it. I used 60% of my magic power on a stupid attack. I panicked, and it cost me dearly; I wasted energy like an idiot. Let's finish this."
Creating ice consumes less magical energy than freezing. To freeze, you need to surround the object with magical energy precisely to avoid overuse. But in this case, Kei panicked and used 60% of his energy to unleash a massive ice blast that froze everything instantly, using over 55% extra energy—meaning he wasted 55% of his energy like an idiot.
Mia and Drin, aware of what happened, filled with regret for their immature behavior, but Kei, not wanting to see them sad, hugged them by the neck and smiled.
"One mistake from you, one from me. I think we're even, right? Hehe."
Seeing Kei trying to make them feel better, they smiled and kissed him on the cheek. You can't argue with Kei, much less ask him for an apology. He's the kind of guy who prefers to forget and move on. Smiling and kissing him is a way to confirm that if he's okay with it, they are too.
"Now let's get that thing. I hope it was worth it."
"Fufufu. It'll totally be worth it, plebeian!!" shouted a certain shrill female voice that echoed through the room.
The girls got into fighting stances, ready to battle, except Kei, who felt a connection with that voice.
"And I'm not 'that thing,' you ignorant fool!!"
With a big smile and eyes full of enthusiasm, Kei ran toward the bed.
"A talking object?! I love it!"
"How dare you call me that?! I'm not an object, you rude jerk!!"
As he stood in front of the bed, a massive flame shot out from under it, setting the bed ablaze. The heat was so intense that it thawed the entire room and brought Mia to her knees, unable to withstand it.
"Now, kneel before the great…!!" said the voice, now much more imposing and loud, before being interrupted by Kei's words.
"No time for this! Mia!"
"Hey, let me finish!!"
He turned around and approached Mia, who was lying on the floor, about to faint. The room was on fire, so they had seconds to escape before someone noticed.
"I'm talking to you, idiot!!"
"Could we skip the dramatic introduction?! Mia's about to pass out!"
Mia's hair was burning, and not only her hair was damaged—her skin too—so Kei quickly surrounded her with his magical power to stop the heat from affecting her further. Her burnt hair returned to normal, as did her skin, with the burns disappearing.
He sighed in relief and carried her in his arms.
"You okay now?"
"Y-Yes, thank you. I-I'm fine; I can walk."
"Oh, yeah, s-sorry."
Mia can't use magical power, so she's very vulnerable to magic-based attacks. She has high physical resistance, but without magic to bolster it, she can easily take magical damage.
"… Seriously, she's one of your wives? Didn't Zius tell you to get powerful wives?!"
"Don't judge her without knowing her, please."
"Wow. That angry glare is nice. A kind guy with a dark side who protects those he loves. What an interesting combo. This'll be fun!"
All the fire went out, and a tiny fairy appeared in front of Kei.
"Hi, I'm Nirfei! It'll be a pleasure to be your companion, Hero Kei!" she said with a big smile, pinching the tip of Kei's nose, who crossed his eyes to look at her directly.
The fairy was small, exactly 15 centimeters tall.
Her skin was pale red, like Drin's, with pink eyes, white, fluffy, long hair, the same color as her long eyelashes and eyebrows.
She wore a tight, one-piece white dress, and her breasts were… big? Possibly. Her dress is so tight that her breasts are very compressed. They look big at first glance, and they might be even bigger. Unimportant details.
Her fairy wings were red, made of fire. Well, really, everything about her was fire. Her hair and dress were white fire, and her wings were red fire. It seemed like she had a physical body, but no, even that was fire, yet it stayed so still it appeared physical.
Her voice was shrill, as expected from such a small being, but her appearance was youthful, roughly that of a 20-year-old girl.
The three surrounded her and stared at her intently, full of intrigue. One of the 10 objects, a tiny fire fairy. [Magic Storage], [Dragon Heart], [Dragon Sword], and [Nirfei]. If activating the [Dragon Heart] was enough to defeat a demon commander in seconds, combining all the objects could…
"Eliminate a God," said Kei, stroking Nirfei's tiny head.
"Hey, ask for permission first, and on your knees!"
"So cute!" said Mia, stroking her tiny wings.
"I don't recognize this magical energy. Fire, demonic, fairy? What attribute does she use?" said Drin, activating her intellectual scientist side.
"She's so adorable!" said Kei, stroking her cheek.
Nirfei clenched her teeth, trying not to explode with anger at being overwhelmed by the three at once, but she reached her limit. Her mouth grew huge and bit Kei's finger.
"Hehe. So cute, like a puppy."
Nirfei blinked a couple of times, unable to believe what she was seeing. She kept biting Kei in different parts of his body, looking for a reaction, but nothing, and when she was about to slip into his pants, Kei quickly stepped back.
"Everything has a limit. Sexual harassment isn't okay."
"Tch. Did I lose power?" she said, not understanding why it didn't work.
"What do you mean? What are you trying to do to Kei?" said Mia.
But before Nirfei could answer, the door opened, alerting everyone and putting them on guard.
"Well, well, well. Looks like we have intruders."
Five very handsome men entered the room. Very, very dangerous men.
"Desmolfer's husbands," said Drin.
"Tch. This just got complicated."
